Rosettas POV:

I always loved the sun shining through my window waking me up without a care in the world about what I had to do that day, but today.. Something was off.

Yes, the sun was at its best but something in my gut told me something was going to happen, and I wouldn't like it.

I groaned at the thought of getting up, I'm very lazy when it comes to getting up in the morning. I look up at the clock, lighting up the room with its lights telling the time. 11:09. Did I sleep in?

After having a self-to-self argument for 5 minutes I got up and got ready, I chose something simple yet cute and added jewelry with a bag to put all my stuff in just in case.

As if on cue as soon as I'm done, there was a knock on the door and one of the many servants around the house wearing a smile with her hair tied up in a low bun looked at me

As if on cue as soon as I'm done, there was a knock on the door and one of the many servants around the house wearing a smile with her hair tied up in a low bun looked at me.

"Hello, ma'am good morning. I'm here to tell you that your father requests you at his office when you are done with breakfast, and speaking of which, breakfast is being served right now." She says, now looking down.

"Okay. I will be down shortly, and please, call me Rose or Rosey, I've told all of you servants multiple times." I say it's honestly tiring hearing ma'am all the freaking time. I feel like an old woman already.

"Ma'am, I can't. It is against your father's orders." She says, biting her lip and still looking at the floor.

You have to be kidding me.

"Call me that when we are alone, not in my father's presence, and please spread the word, I don't want to be reminding all hundreds of you to not call me ma'am. Makes me feel old. And also please stop looking at the damn floor." I answer.

I don't mean to sound rude, I'm just so done with telling everyone the same exact thing my whole freaking life. They never listen.

I ate my breakfast and went straight to my father's office.  Growing up, he was always with me, he was the hero but after that work got him more involved, a war started between us and another mafia, which made him get busier and colder, as he realized showing me weakness was a weakness. As the years went by I slowly lived with the fact, that we would never be the same.

I knocked on the door and heard a "Come in." From the other side of the door. Twisting the knob and finding my old-looking father in his office chair, looking straight at me.

He never really cared for me.

"Sit down." He said, his tone emotionless as ice. His eyes are always something else though, to me.

His eyes were full of coldness, love, and admiration, combined all at once. Who knew that was possible?

I sit down. "Yes Father, you need something?" I ask, probably to tell me news to be "More careful" Or something, it's always the same, flashbacks from him saying in different ways to be careful or something.
