The sorting of new students into houses took place at the stances, Luna who sat beside me busy fiddling with the bracelet she was making for me and our other friends, her head focused on what she was doing instead of the sorting.
"I heard there's a new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor again," Miriam said as she spoke, not taking her eyes off the book she was reading.
"Isn't Dumbledore getting tired of hiring "new" DADA professors every year? I'd much prefer Lupin being a permanent DADA professor" I whined as a flock of new first years came walking down the hall.
Professor McGonagall now placed a three-legged stool on the ground before the first-years, and on top of it sat, The Sorting Hat. Its mouth beginning to show.
"A thousand years or more ago, When I was newly sewn, There lived four wizards of renown, Whose names are still well known: Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor, Fair Ravenclaw, from glen, Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad, Shrewd Slytherin, from fen, They shared a wish, a hope, a dream, They hatched a daring plan, To educate young sorcerers, Thus Hogwarts School began. Now each of these founders Formed their own house-"
The sorting hat began to sing, making me zone out, taking out my hairpin and swinging it at my hand out of boredom.
"Does the sorting hat have to sing every time it opens its mouth to sort the first years? It's not very good"
'Apollo kids could sing that song much better'
"I agree with you, the song of that old hat is longer than the sorting. I'm hungry!" Vanessa whined in front of me as she placed her head on Miriam's shoulder.
The Great Hall rang with applause as the sorting hat finished its song. Professor McGonagall was now unrolling a large scroll of parchment and began to call the first years for their sorting.
As the last of the first year was sorted, Dumbledore stood from his seat and began introducing the new DADA professor.
The door of the great hall opened and all of Hogwarts students began to look at who was at the door, us Ravenclaws not caring as we really can't peek with all of the heads.
"Now, we have a few transferees here from Olympica Academy, by the request of their Headmaster Bacchus D."
'Now hold on a minute...'
"Grace, Jason! Gryffindor"
As Professor McGonagall called out the transferees, I tried to peek over the hundred heads in the great hall.
"Chase, Annabeth! Ravenclaw"
As the sorting hat called out the name of Annabeth, she began to make her way towards me, smiling and waving.
"Hey there Senny, Luna" Annabeth greeted both Luna and I as I walked towards her and hugged her.
"Oh my god!!! I can't believe it! Were you guys quested here? Is Percy here? Nico?"
"Di Angelo, Nico! Slytherin"
"Oh, my gods!!! But if you guys are here, what about-"
"Castellan, Luke! Ravenclaw"
My whole world seemed to stop, Luke, was walking over to the Ravenclaw table. His stupid blue eyes, his stupid black curly hair, his stupid smile.
"Hey there love... I missed you" Luke said as he stopped right in front of me, my housemates looking at both me and Luke.
Whistles from most likely Draco, Mattheo, Blaise, and Theodore rang from the Slytherin table.
"Not gonna great me? Not even a hug? Dare I say a kiss?" Luke said as he was smacked by Annabeth.
It was like the great hall went silent, It was just Luke and I.
Luke Castellan and Senia Dormer.
"You big-headed idiot" I spoke as I pulled Luke down from my sitting position and kissed him, shocking my housemates as well as the other students of Hogwarts.
"You scared me, you idiot!" I said as tears began to spill from my eyes, Luke wiping them away with his hands.
"Yeah, but I did hear you saying goodbye to me at the infirmary before you left... I'm here now" Luke smiled as he hugged me.
"Dam! We really got separated here" Percy spoke as he approached all of us.
"You know the transferees Senia?"
"Uhm yeah! They're my friends"
"Percy Jackson"
"Annabeth Chase"
"Jason Grace"
"Thalia Grace"
"Will Solace, hi!"
"And that little munchkin over there sitting between Draco and Blaise is Nico. I attended Olympica before going here at Hogwarts, they accept students there regardless of Age" I explained, Percy and the rest bid goodbye as they sat in their respective seats.
Luke and Annabeth took a seat beside Luna and me, I felt Luke wrap his hand with mine making me smile at him.
"Welcome home, Λουκᾶς" (Loukas) I placed my head on his shoulder as I said his name in Ancient Greek.
"I'm home, Σενία" (Senia)
