I got to the arena and then walked inside. My morning hasn't been the best. I just hope practice is good. I walked in the locker room where only Kirsten and Kate was.

"good morning kiddos." I said grabbing my jersey.

"Good morning Jack." Kirsten said walking over to me and hugging me.

"you look like you're having a terrible day." Kate said hugging me after Kirsten.

"I am. Because why was a snake in my front yard. Yall I really bout had a stroke." I said putting the jersey on.

After I got done getting dressed, I picked up my phone and texted gabby. She's just now texting back even though I texted her like 3 hours ago but I knew she'd still be sleep.

I propped my phone up and then answered the facetime call. It took a second to connect but eventually did.

"good morning love." I said with a voice crack .

"Jack you talk like a white girl now that I hear it." Kate said fixing her hair.

"oh stop." I said laughing.

"are you coaching again baby?" I said walking away from my phone.

"I am, the qadence girl was so disrespectful yesterday. I don't know if I want to." She said with a little hurt in her voice.

"kids are disrespectful that's why ion care for em." I said being dead serious.

"I knew that but I like being patient with them." She said .

"I never thought I would see the day where Jackie calls somebody "baby" Kirsten said mocking me.

"AGGY." I said laughing.

"they act like I'm not allowed to fall in love." I said to gabby laughing.

I talked to Jackie more as her teammates came in I started to not talk just because I don't know them all. And I get shy a little.

They were yelling at each other matter of fact. They all just always have so much energy and I love that for them.

"I gotta go." I said.

"you good mama?" She said over the mist of the noise.

"yea you seem a little busy. I'll just call you back when you leave." I said.

"babe no, you're good, we don't have to be out there for another 30 minutes to an hour." She said looking at her watch.

"I just want you to have quality time with your teammates." I said shaking my head.

"you guys gabby said hi." Jackie said holding her phone up.

"HEYY BOOKIEEE." Aja said taking the phone.

I smile and said hey back. She always so full of energy.

"HII GABSSSS" Kelsey said in the background.

I waved and smiled.

"Do you think you could beat Jack in an arm wrestle?" I heard an unfamiliar voice in the background say.

"I'm not even gone lieeeee, no. But I'm getting there. I'm getting there. I'm working on it." I said smiling.

"no you're not, absolutely not." Jackie said shaking her head.

We've been talking about how much we squat and bench. Gabby squats more but I bench more.

"a lot of people have been comparing you to Alyssa Thomas." Aja said.

"lyss don't hold a candle to Jack, I'm sorry." Chelsea said.

"you sound a little bias." Jackie said smiling.

"how you squat so much and still ain't got no a**?" Aja said in my camera.

"first of all not too much on me. Tell her mama." Gabby said.

"right leave my girl alone." I said laughing.

We talked a little more before I hung up because we have to practice. Me and Aja stretched beside each other while we talked.

"yall are cute though." She said making me smile because I feel like I'm not completely wasting my time here. Like I feel like she won't completely disregard my feelings and she's considerate.

"on the line." Becky said.

"I can't do this running sh*t today man, my stomach cramping and everything been p*ssing me off." Kelsey said.

I hugged her and let her know it was alright. We don't know what we have to run for cause we ain't done nothing.

"Why we running again? We ain't did nun."  Kiersten asked.

"exactly, you ain't did nothing. We had no business losing them games like we did. I know our potential, we're 2x champions and right now we're not playing like it, and I'm tired of telling yall this so if we can't comprehend by my voice we gone comprehend by consequences." Becky said.

"we're allowed bad games, ha ahh tripping fr." Tiffany said, and if we're being for real, tiff hasn't been in the mood for a while I just haven't had the time to ask her about it but I am today.

Aye ion know what kind of sauce they use for this pizza but this junt smackkk. I sat at the table while the girls warmed up.

"you don't get to eat while we practice, it's not fair." Morgan said teasing.

"You still ain't told us who yo boo is." KK said when she finished.

"I'm still thinking about if I should tell yall or not but imma know by the end of practice." I said laughing.

"you have a gorgeous smile." Paige said.

"thank you." I said smiling.

Geno came out of his office and I stood up. This is where she gives announcements most of the time so I just want to be there for it.

"can we do a scrimmage cause I feel like Ian played lockdown defense in a hot minute." Paige said.

After Geno did announcements he gave me his agenda and I demonstrated and then they got to work. They did have to run a little bit I didn't want to be too hard so I was a little lenient but we're not gonna tell Geno that.

After practice they were drenched so I handed out gatorades. Because I know they're hot and thirsty and the air doesn't really work and never really has worked.

We broke it down then they got dressed and came to bug me per usual.
