On the Run.

Bruce's POV

It has been 17 days since the incident in Brazil and I made sure that he still not being followed by Ross and The US army. After those days i finally made it to Virginia most specifically Culver University, the same place where i was turn into the other guy for the first time. The reason why I'm here is because the data is still here. I walked inside of the building holding a newspaper for cover and wearing a hat too. While I was walking, I stop when I saw the security guard asked everyone to put out ID and then realized that I'm not going to get in without credentials so i decided to leave the building.

As I walking outside, I spotted the cellular biology building as I walked closer to the building, I immediately see Betty walking out of the building. This is the first time seeing Betty since she was in the hospital after the incident. I feel old feeling resurfacing until I see her walking with her new boyfriend. I felt sadness but happy because she moved on. I smiled and turned around to head another direction. It was nighttime until I saw Stanley's pizza parlor, a place where me and Betty used to. I knock the door then Stan pointed at the sign that the place was closed but I knock again and Stan look up at me and was in shock to see me again since the incident. He opened the door for me to let me in and close the door.

As we head to the kitchen to talk and catch up on life. By his reaction, he was happy to see me again I don't blame him it's been 5 years since I been here.

"Stan, I gave you my word, whatever you've heard about me, it's not true." I said to him.

"Oh, I know it. I always knew. I mean, you know how I felt about you two. Have you talked to her?" Stan replied to me.

"No. I would like to keep that way for her safety. She with somebody?" I asked him.

"Yeah, he's a head shrink. They said is one of the best. But really nice guy." Stan said back.

I nodded. "Good. That's good." I said.

"Who else this works there since I left?" I asked him.

"You remember Elizabeth Shaw. Your old assistant?" Stan asked.

"Yeah. What about her?" I said.

"Well from I heard from Betty is that she works as archeologist and works with cellular biology stuff." Stan says to me.

I haven't seen her in a long time. I realize it was getting late and I was tired.

"Ok." I said.

"Bruce, what can I do to help you?" Stan to say to me.

"I could use a bed for a few nights" I said.

"You can have the spare room upstairs." Stan says.

"That's would be so great. There is- there is- Um, there is one other thing." I said almost laughing.

After that, I head upstairs to the spare room to get some rest. I was think about that I'm almost close to cure but I wait tomorrow to sneak in the lab to see if the data is still there.
