MY BABY !
good girls !
season 2 episode 2 !" getting ready for the day your born again "
CHARLOTTE GRUMBLED beneath her breath as she trudged down the stairs, rubbing her eyes as she neared the front door. slowly pulling it open, she quirked a brow at eddie who gave a soft smile. letting himself inside while she closed the door in confusion. "what's up?" she questioned, looking to the boy who shrugged. "where's your mom?" he clicked his tongue lightly.watching her roll her eyes walking into the kitchen, him following her he sat on the barstool. "she's doing the initiation that rio gave her" she told, leaning against the counter as she clutched the blanket tighter around her. "initiation?" he questioned lightly, a small chuckle leaving his lips. "yeah? yknow killing lesli" she answered softly, confused as to what he why he was confused.
he let out a soft laugh at her words, "baby that's not an initiation" he told his voice slightly raspy, leaning against the counter with a grin. all the while charlotte was trying to not blush at the name he'd called her. "it's not a gang initiation?" he shook his head at her, "then what is it?" she questioned.
"it's a job. killing boomer, cutting off ties. that way he can't run his mouth to turner" he shrugged lightly while she slowly nodded, pulling the blanket tighter around herself. "oh" charlotte spoke softly, a nod coming from eddie who stared at her. "so what is a gang initiation?" she questioned lightly, genuinely interested. eddie shrugged, "thats not a thing" he told.
"oh" charlotte spoke, slightly disappointed that the shows she'd seen on tv weren't true. "disappointed?" he quirked a brow at her, "a little" she mumbled, shrugging softly. "sorry to disappoint" he replied.
it went quiet for a few moments, the two simply staring at one another, and the eye contact made charlotte have to fight the blush that crept up her neck. "turner stop by?" he broke the silence, a sly smirk on his lips at the redness on her face. it was such a stupid reason to be red, eye contact. it made charlotte feel like a child who's never held hands with a boy, but it did make her more nervous then she'd ever admit.
"no" she mumbled, he nodded as he began to stand. he shrugged as he turned beginning to walk to the front door, "are you leaving?" she questioned, watching him turn as he opened the door nodding. "disappointed?" he questioned, a small smile on his lips. "a little" she replied, nervously fidgeting with her fingers as he shook his head with a smile. leaving and gently shutting the door behind him, leaving the girl smiling like an idiot.

THE SMALL DONUT shops lights burned into charlottes eyes as she sipped on the glass of water that sat in front her. the bendy straw between her lips as lesli looked through the pink box of money that sat in front of him.
"this is only half!" he told, shutting the box closed. "you'll get the rest once we know your out of the country" beth told, glaring at the man who sat at the end of the table, he'd pulled a chair up to the booth to sit. "that wasn't the deal" lesli argued, earning a shrug from charlotte. "the deal was killing you, wanna go back to that?" annie quirked a brow at the man who shrunk in his seat.
"how will i get it?" he questioned, looking to beth who was using her palm to prop her head up. "we'll mail it" she told casually, lesli stammered, shaking his head. "you'll need my address" he replied, "kinda how mail works" annie told, sending him a sarcastic smile. "it's kinda common sense" charlotte added, sending the man a tight lipped smile, while he only scowled in return. "i'm not compromising my address" he argued, his voice cracking as he stared at annie.
"we'll venmo you" annie told shrugging, "oh and have the irs up my ass?" lesli questioned, snapping at the women. "fine paypal" annie replied. "same problem. that'd also go with cash app." charlotte told, bringing the iced water to her lips. letting the cool liquid cool her throat. "po box" beth told, looking to the man who pursed his lips , drumming his fingers against the top of the table before shrugging. "that could work" he told.
"i'll leave first thing in the morning" he told, standing all the while he clutched the pink box in his hands. "hey, i'm serious. if it's not us, it'll be them" beth told the man who nodded looking to her, "and they'll be way worse then us" charlotte added, not sparing the man a glance. "i'll send a postcard" he replied before walking out of the small shop.
