Fantasia : The Untold Truth

Chapter 3

"You ? The girl who saved me earlier ? How come you are here in the roof ?", questioned the curious Eric.

"I usually spend my time here in the roof whenever I am not in a good mood. I eat here, listento music here, do anything here basically. This is my safe space", said the delinquent girl.

"Oh... right", replied Eric in a nervous tone.

"I came to the roof for some fresh air. That's when I saw you climbing the fence and attempting to jump off. How stupid can you be ?", asked the delinquent.

"I try to avoid them, but they just seem to belittle me every time they get the opportunity. I don't have anyone to talk to. I just don't want to walk around here anymore", Eric sobbed.

"Oh. I assume Katherine and her minions did something again, but this time it might have been way over the line. Is that right ?", the delinquent said confidently.

Eric turned to her and nodded to what she said. He also added - "Yeah but this time there was another big guy with them. He was tall, fit and was bullying one of the new kids when I first came to this school. I don't know what was up with him."

"Oh, you mean Derrick. He is one of biggest bullies of our grade. He might look all mightyand strong but trust me, he isn't as strong as he seems. He only picks on students who areweaker than him", replied the girl.

"Well if you want to vent out all the anger that is built up inside of you, why don't you try shouting at the top of your lungs. It will help you feel better too", suggested the girl.

Eric kept talking to the girl and got to know a lot about her character through the way she spoke. She seemed scary and is one of the top delinquents of her neighbourhood, but she was empathetic and kind who always took other people's feelings into consideration. She offered to be friends with Eric and also introduced herself as Aira.

"I'll see you around then Eric. Oh wait... We are in the same class, aren't we? My bad. It was nice meeting you though ! Let's head back to classes shall we ?", Aira conveyed her goodbyes and the two newly formed friends head back to the classroom.

Eric has finally found the friend that he had been longing for since middle school. She wasa rebel who disobeyed the teachers when they wanted her to do something but she was nice atheart. She was a person who dozed off in classes that she never liked to listen to. However,whenever the classes were about the subject that she really liked, such as English and Cooking, she gave it her all. Similar to Eric, she never had a lot of friends in school because of the rumours about her being a delinquent. She was also someone who valued honesty the most out of any person or delinquent I have ever seen. There were rumours of her beating up a guy just because he was dishonest to her. That fact does seem frightening but Eric was not phased by anything he has heard from the gossips that other students have during theirbreaks.

One day, he offered to tutor Aira after their classes for an upcoming test by putting a deskright next to hers. She was a bit hesitant as she hated math, but with a bit of persuasion,she gave in and decided to work hard for the test. She struggled with understanding the concepts initially, but with time, she was able to grasp it and solve any question she wasasked by Eric.
