Suguru and Satoru are off to find the star plasma vessel. Yaga informed you and Shoko that it may take a few weeks before they return and that You should probably be on lookout in front of Jujutsu High's barrier in case of undetectable commissioned mercenaries. You figured that Satoru was the type to sacrifice her sleep during this escort mission.

In the mean time, you were tasked with your own missions. Most if not all were a breeze due to Sever and your heightened physical capabilities. However, you just got tasked with a special grade mission. Since Special Grade sorcerors are rare, it's a solo mission with no special grade supervisor. The fact that you've never encountered a special grade makes you uncertain of your success.

You arrive at the location. Its a old and ruined village, seemingly bearing no life. It has been abandoned to the point where the infrastructure had plants growing on it. You stroll through the village, keeping your senses sharp. A special grade curse would mean that it has a level of intelligence, that it could resort to petty and unfair tactics like ambushing. Everything seemed fine until you noticed a putrid smell. You approach and find a rotting corpse, a recent one as it still had most of the human anatomy. You look around and saw a large bag, which would mean that the victim here was a hiker or a camper. You look past the corpse and saw a skeleton. Which would mean that the victim here was attracted to this rundown village by the previous victim. Which suggests that this Curse baits people possibly by mimicry.

"...Mimicry?" You said

"...help me..." You heard a voice behind your back and it sent shivers down your spine.

You immediately turned around and sent a Sever towards the curse which got sent back a bit. You gained distance from the curse and collected your thoughts. You observed the appearance of the curse, it seemed to be the amalgamation of many different human faces. Uncanny for sure, but there's something else ominous about it. Before you could figure it out it leapt towards you, it's right arm transforming into a blade.

"It can mimic everything?!" You yelled as you dodged the blade.

You stomped on the blade, breaking it and kicked the Curse in the head. The Curse grabbed your leg and swings you to its side. You use Sever to cut it's arm into pieces so it can't slam you. As per usual, the loss of an arm is nothing to a Curse as it regenerates both arms and punches you. You managed to block the punch but got sent flying through a house. As you got up it transforms its arms into rifles. You start sprinting to avoid the bullets it shot. While running you noticed something, one of the faces had its eyes open while the rest didn't. You approached the cursed spirit and got into hand to hand combat with it. Surprisingly it can do martial arts, your eyes skimmed down to the human faces, a different face had its eyes open. You and the curse was evenly matched but fortunately you saw a gap in its defense and landed a blow that sent it flying. You use the time to study its technique.

"This curse... its technique is mimicry, but it has a specific condition in order to. One of the faces it has on its body resembles the corpse over there. The eyes of that face opened when it was using the blades... a camper would normally have a blade for self-defense so that makes sense. Hunters with rifles... but the face that had its eyes opened when it used martial arts... that's a tough one to understand. Unless, it gains abilities from those it consumes... I'd assume items of significance in the victim's memories."

You continued to stare at the curse as it was slowly approaching you again

"It's build also changes depending on the face it uses. Which means it mimics physique and something from memory. But how many faces can it use at one time?"
