Prologue

"I can't believe you agreed to the marriage. You're sacrificing your own happiness for a political alliance."

"What choice did I have? I couldn't bear the thought of being the cause of a war that would harm so many innocent people."

"I stand before her, my heart heavy with regret, and my mind racing with the daunting task of making things right. How can I convince her to forgive me, to trust me "

I gazed into Panchali's eyes, my heart heavy with regret.
"I'm sorry, Panchali,"I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion.

"I never wanted it to come to this. I don't have any other option, I'm trapped in this fate.I was caught in a web of circumstances, and she was the innocent victim of my destiny.

“ Arjun when you tie a second knot, the first one, becomes weak and is corroded,” she lamented in grief.

"Leave me alone, everyone! Just leave me be!' she sobbed, her body shaking with convulsive g'asps .

"He hurt me, he used me like a mere object, a pawn in his game of politics!' Her words dripped with anguish, each one a razor-sharp slash to the soul.

'And my own brother, the one person I thought I could trust, he too failed me. He ignored my feelings, my pain, my pleas!' She felt like a fragile leaf, torn and crushed by the tempests of life.

"Priye, my love, my heart beats only for you," he implored, his voice trembling with desperation.

"I know I've wronged you, I know I've hurt you, but I swear to you, I'll do anything, anything at all, to win back your heart. Give me one last chance, Priye, please. I'll move mountains, I'll cross oceans, I'll shatter the very stars from the sky if only you'll forgive me and love me once more." His eyes pleaded with hers, his soul laid bare in his words.

Her gaze like a dagger piercing my soul. 'Do you love her?' she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

I felt the weight of her question, the pain and vulnerability behind it. I knew I had to answer truthfully, no matter how much it might hurt. 'Yes!!,' I said finally, my voice was firm but hurt.

"Love me with all your heart, and I shall love you with all my heart."

"My love, I promise to stand by your side through every storm and every calm. I vow to hold your hand when the road ahead is uncertain and to celebrate with you in times of joy. I promise to listen to your heart, to support your dreams, and to be your rock in times of need. Together, let us face every challenge, every triumph, and every moment in between. I promise to love you, to honor you, and to stand with you" .

Her fingers dug deep into my collar, her eyes blazing with a mother's anguish.

'You failed to protect my son!' she wailed, her voice a heart-wrenching cry that shook me to my core.

I felt the weight of her grief, the crushing burden of my own failure. I had sworn to protect him, to be his shield and his sword. But I had failed. 'Forgive me,' I whispered, my voice trembling with remorse.

Her tears scalded my skin, her pain searing my skin.

He whispered those four words,

'I will be waiting for you,' and sealed them with a gentle peck on her forehead. But to her, it felt like a death sentence.

She stood there, frozen in time, her body numb and her heart heavy. The warmth of his lips still lingered on her skin, but her soul felt like it had been extinguished.

The world around her melted away, leaving only the echoes of his promise and the desolate landscape of her own shattered dreams.

"Arrryaaaaaaaaa..........!!!!!!!!  "
