chapter 11『4 orphans 』

In the mountain range of the Ember Stone grounds next to a lagoon the Stelar Eagle dorm is training. It has been 3 days after the tournament notice that they had gotten.

Noel and Mash were clashing blades of blood and iron while the others just watched.

Noel ducked as a Mash's  blade missed its mark Noel followed it up by an under slice. Both of them had a very similar weapons. Just Noels one was made of blood.

"AIR BURST!" Mash yelled as a wind vortex exploded infront of Mash's chest cuasing him to move backwards.

"So when did he learn wind magic?" Weronica asked.

"When we went to explore the city." Phan said.

"HE LEARND IT IN ONE DAY?!" Weronica asked.

"Not exactly. He hasn't used it until today as he was perfecting air burst. As it is kind of dangerous. " Phan said.

"But still he learnd an elemental magic so quickly." Zone said flabbergasted and Zain is as quite as ever.

"This is so unfair." Weronica said.

"That is Mash for you." Sam said with a small smile.

Cutting back to the fight.

"YOU DONE ALREADY MASH?" Noel yelled as he was huffin and puffin.

"NO. JUDGEMENT CUTTER!" Mash yelled.

"BL-" Noel fell to the ground before he was able to finish his sentence as his mana ran out. He started to slowly get up and everyone ran to him except Mash as he also fell on the grass.

"You okay Noel?" Everyone asked.

"Ya..ya." Noel said with a groan.

"NOW IT IS 1 TO 5 GET RECKED!" Mash yelled.

"3 TO 5! WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO COUNT?" Noel yelled.

"They seem fine." Everyone except Noel and Mash thought.

"Mash seems more talkative then normal." Weronica thought.

"Probably because of meeting Phan and Sam." Everly said to Weronica in her thought.

"WHAAA!! Stop that it is creepy." Weronica thought.

"No promises." Everly said.

"Here is some water." Sam said as he gave a jar of water Noel.

"Thanks bud." Noel said as he started to drinking the water like a camel.

"Mash catch." Phan said as he threw a towel towards Mash.

"Thanks!" Mash said.

Everyone weren't training all at once cause of someone had to be on stand by if something was going out of hand.

"Let's take a break." Zone said.

"I have brought sandwiches for everyone." Sam said.

"Hell ya." Noel said.

As they were eating sandwiches.

"Hey guys we don't really know about how you 4 met. Mind telling us?" Everly asked.

"It isn't anything special." Mash said.

"Just say." Zain said.

"Look even Zain is curious." Weronica said.

"Okay fine. It is a bit long."Mash said.

Noel was putted in the door step of an orphanage in the southern side of Fiora. He knew his name was Noel as it was written on his arm. But he didn't know his family name so he took the last name of the orphanages owner. He was a very social person form childhood. Even though he was very social, he never had friends as he himself felt different from the others.

One day another boy came. Same age as Noel. He had a book in his hand. His name was Sam Stanley. He lived in a near by village with got destroyed by a flash flood he survived as he was out of the village to study a plant he took interest in. He was quite and had no friends. Noel took an interest to him and for the first time Noel made a friend. Noel used jumped around the trees as Sam just sat and read books. At this point both of their bloodline developed. Bloodlines usually develops at the age of 7 to 10. They were 8. They didn't really know how to use it.

In the years that followed another boy same age as them came. He was even quite then Sam this was Mash Crown. Unlike Sam or Noel, Mash had no name. He just roomed around the streets as far as he remembered. As e came to the orphanage he took the name Mash from a book he read and Crown from the last name of a nun. No one used approach him as his cold personality but Noel's and Sam's constant bugging caused him to lose his cold personality. Mash, Noel and Sam were inseparable.

That same year another boy came but with people. He was from a temple nearby. They threw him out as they thought that he was bad luck. This being Phan Phantump. Phan's parents died where he was young. Causing him to grow up as an orphan. After his birth many mysterious things started to occur in the mountain temple. Many of the monks disappeared without a clue. They blamed him for everything even the flash flood. He was ostracised by the other kids because of his weird aura. As like with Mash, he got bullied into joining their rag tag group.

"Damn. That totally happened." Noel said with a small chuckle.

"You definitely forgot." Phan said.

"So why are you guys so good at close combat? Wizard's aren't really known for being close ranged." Zone said.

"Oh after 2 year some Paladins came to protect the village and we bullied them into teaching us how to fight properly." Noel said with a grin.

"Why are you that way you are." Weronica asked.

" it is sad that you all got separated though." Everly said.

"Hey all's well that ends well." Phan said with a shrug.

"So how did Mash and Noel come to our school?" Zain asked.

"Well Mash wanted to attend school and this was the only school that took in students without gurdians." Noel said.

"Oh right." Zain said.

"So where did Phan and Sam go after the transfer?" Zone asked looking at Both of them.

"Well after our transfer we attend a nearby school that dosen't require any guardians." Sam said as he took a bite of his sandwich.

"I didn't really want to attend but Sam forced me to." Phan said.

"I am happy that Noel and Mash found you guys. Unlike us. We couldn't make any friends in our old school. So me and Phan thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Sam said with a small bow along with Phan.

"NO NO!! You don't need to bow. Honestly both hthem helped me very much to get adjusted to the school as like the four of you I didn't fit in with the other kids very much." Everly said as she was panicking.

"Yes. They are the reason I have had an amazing school life." Weronica said.

"Yes both me, Zain and everyone would like to thank you. Aren't we guys?" Zone said turning to the other. As they nodded in approval.

"You guys are the best." Noel said as a comically small tear came down from his eyes.

"Blod string." Noel said as blood string attached to everyone pulling them closer into a group hug.

"Huh?!" Everyone got confused.

"You idiot." Mash said.

As they ended the embrace they sat back.

"Now. Everly and Weronica say both of your stories." Phan said as everyone looked at them.
