Pokémon Horizons (Male Reader)

Indigo Academy, Dorms and Dormmates | Chapter 2

After disembarking the bus, Y/n stood at the side with Applin resting in his arms whilst his suitcase was brought over by Machop, as he waited he looked out towards the entrance to Indigo Academy, watching the many students both new and existing proceed through the arch, each one entering with a Pokémon beside them or going to receive one. His attention was soon distracted when he heard a voice cry out near him.

"Machop" Y/n turned to see Machop carrying his suitcase over to him, placing in front of him.

"Thank you Machop, I apologise again if it was heavy," he said giving a slight bow, Applin mimicked Y/n's actions by bowing it's eyes slightly. Machop smiled and shook it's head as if to say 'it wasn't that heavy' before head back to retrieve the last suitcase, Y/n looked back to see the last suitcase was Liko's as he remembered seeing it beside her at the bus stop. "Hey Machop, can I wait till you retrieve that suitcase I know the person it belongs to?" Y/n ask, Machop looked a bit surprised by his request but smiled and nodded, "Machop, Machop" it cried wheeling Liko's suitcase over to him. "Thanks again Machop," he said smiling, Machop nodded.

"Huh?" Hearing a voice, Y/n turned to see Liko just now stepping off the bus, "You're still here?" She asks curious as to why he didn't move ahead.

"I waited for Machop to finish unloading everyone's suitcases including mine and saw yours was last so I asked Machop to leave it next to me to give to you" Y/n explained giving a gentle smile, Liko gazed stunned and felt that flutter feathery feeling in her chest again, 'he waited for everyone to retrieve their suitcases before him and then waited for mine, just so he could give it to me?' Liko thought still stunned by his kind and generous manner.

"T-thank you..." She whispered softly, feeling her cheeks heat up. Y/n looked at her and smiled gently giving her a nod, before grabbing hold of his suitcase, Applin carefully slid down his arm towards his suitcase and wrapped its tail around the handle. "Well," he said glancing towards Indigo Academy's entrance, "You ready?" He said, as he turned back to Liko, she looked at him and nodded.

"Yes," She said, determination showing on her face, but there was a subtle hint of nervousness there that Y/n caught on.

"If it makes you feel better, I'm nervous too" he says, scratching his head. "But I know the moment we enter that archway, things are going to change for the better and adventure is calling, I can just feel it!"

Liko could only watch as Y/n smiled and started to make his way to the school. She followed only to watch as he stopped just in front of the archway he looked up and gazed at the entrance. Liko watched him stare before taking a deep breath.

"Okay, onward to new Horizons," he says before, glancing at Liko. "Guess I'll see you around, hopefully" he says give her a gentle bow and proceed through entering the academy.

"Er... yeah, s-see you around," she stuttered late in replying to him, only to see him further ahead, he peered back and smiled giving a wave. Liko felt her cheeks heat up and her chest felt feathery again. 'Oh Liko, what was that? I was late in replying to him and now he's gone on ahead' She sighed, feeling down for not replying sooner. She looks up at the entrance way and stares, her mouth open a bit. 'Well, here goes nothing.' She thought before straightening herself and proceeded through, entering Indigo Academy.

Y/n glances around, admiring Indigo Academy. So many students, each one holding or with a Pokémon beside them. A mixture of students with a mixture of Pokémon, Applin also seemed to be gazing around. Unbeknownst to him though, he was drawing the attention and stares of various students, all of whom seem to either be enchanted, jealous or stunned. Y/n continued to watching as he strolled through on his way to the dorms, as he passed he overheard various conversations mixing with eachother.
