In the Sacred Hollow of the tree, you climb up a few steps before encountering a wood man, Wood Man #33, to be exact.
"Hallo. U R New Here? Welcom To Big Big Tree," it greets cheerfully.
They're certainly different from the tree golems, and they're rather friendly as well. You give a friendly wave back as you make your way up the tree. There are ladders, gaps, enemies, and they have a whole pulley system as well.
"Crowbar Guy Very Happies and Laughies. Is It's His Birth Day? He Loves Eating Whole Cake On Birthday," Wood Man #64 comments out of the blue as you hop off the wooden elevator.
When you get outside, there's another remark from a different wood person.
"We'z Got A Order Of Soda Canz. Exactly 1300 Canz Arriveds Today. That Be Lots And Lots Of Soda," Wood Man #13 says.
Genuinely, how does that crowbar idiot still function.
Each step you take and every enemy you deter, you get higher and higher up on the tree. Outside on its wooden surface, you can't see the ground anymore because of all the acres of vegetation and plants.
You walk across a bridge and take more time to get up until you finally reach the top. The only thing stopping from entering inside are wooden planks, and they've never done any good at keeping you out. The GET OUT!! sign attached to it only adds to the humor as you bring your sword down. It effortlessly slices all of the planks down.
Hesitating for only a second, the grip you have on your sword tightens. You intrude into Griefer's Crib, and the saccharine odor of rotting Bloxy Cola and Witches Brew in the corners infiltrate your senses. In the middle, there Mayor Thaniyel and Griefer are standing on a rock that's enveloped entirely in moss and flowers. The mayor's hands are tied together, clasping a sword in the stone.
Griefer's bright-red eyes glower at the mayor. "TH1S IS Y0UR L4ST CH4NCE. PULL. THE. SW0RD."
"I... I don't..."
"G1VE. IN. SHEDLETSKY'S ALRE4DY BEEN DE4LT W1TH. N0W Y0U'RE ALLLLLL AL0NE."
"Brad... Please don't do this..."
The mayor notices you standing there, and he calls out for help. "Oh my goodness!! Please, save me!!"
Griefer's face is of pure fury. "Y 0 U . P U N K . I T0LD Y0U T0 B4CK 0FF. I T0LD Y0U TO ST4Y AW4Y. I BEAT Y0U TO A PULP. AND Y0U CAME B4CK ANYW4Y."
You ignore his blatant lies in favor of readying your sword.
"Y0U. ARE. M1NE!!"
Griefer forcefully grabs the mayor, and he recklessly lifts him up. A schwing is sounded as the sword is pulled out of the stone. Griefer snatches the sword before tossing the mayor to the side, and he lands with a harsh thud on the floor. Griefer grins as he brandishes the Venomshank.
"YES.... Y E S . . . THE V01CES... I CAN HEAR TH3M AGA1N..."
"AND THEY ALL.
WANT ME T0 SL1CE. Y0U. UP.
CYA, PUNK."
He dashes up to you, and he spins with the sword multiple times. Even while defending, the blade nicks your skin and makes you nauseous as the poison enters your body. The brief touch of the venom causes your cuts to bloom and grow until plants rest in them. You don't desire to harm him, but mercy isn't easy to grant to those unwilling to take it.
With every swish of a fast slice, the blades clang constantly as they collide with each other. Raw strength alone cannot overpower a mighty sword from the heights. You'll resort to other methods to gain the upper hand, and you swiftly take one hand off your iron sword to pull out the ice dagger and match the odds.
