The evening before the game

Yahoo. Long time no see...again. Im sorry.(⁠ ⁠･ั⁠﹏⁠･ั⁠)
I still wont really have a posting schedule so it might happen that theres only two chapters being posted in two months but please bear with me.

Well thats enough shit talk for now lets get to the chapter. (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)

Autor pov.

"Oh jeez what did i let my self into this time", You whisper to yourself sitting on the bed with your head in your hands.

"Come on Haru dont down yourself like that. The decision wasn't that bad...just a little 'not thought over enough'", Akino says making air quotes. He is seated infront of you in a criss cross and Nanase was seated behind him on the lower bunk.

You raise your head looking him in the face with a deadpan expression, "You're not making it any better."

Nanase reaches to his forehead pulling of his headband, "I honestly dont think the decision was that bad, after all we could now get the chance to steal one of those guys if we win and to me they all looked pretty strong, no?"

"Yeah but only if 'if' wasn't there. You get me? I know their strong i can see it from their body language, alone the confidence that radiates from their bodys is something to awe at..."

Akino reaches his hands out towards your head squishing your face between them,"Hey do you wanna know why i wanted to be in a team with you? Why i choose you and not anyone else?", he asks with the most serious face you've ever seen him make.

You nod your head the best you could.
"Because i admired you. I did from the start the way you always received the ball in games so gracefully and somehow still mustered the strenght to shoot the ball into the goal so perfectly and fast that none of the goalkeepers was able to block it..."

"...i really love watching you play Haru, so dont you dare doubt yourself."

It was such a sweet speach that you could have sworn you'd get diabetes  if he said anything more.

Only one thing somehow made your heart hurt 'Haru'. Yeah...that must have been it, they still dont know you're not actually Haru but Y/n.

"Thanks Akino", you mutter pulling his hands of your face and clasping them in yours,"that really made it better." You smile at him with your e/c eyes.

"No problem! Im your child after all so i have to make you, my mother happy." He answers with a sly grin.

"Right...", you say sweatdropping at him.

"Hey you two we better get to bed now or we won't have enough energy for the match tomorrow." Nanase says in a matter of fact tone, pointing at the screen in our room which is counting down the time.

You nod and stand up,"I'll go to the bathroom real quick before going to sleep." The two nod and Akino climbs  on top of the upper bunk bed.

Y/n pov.

'somehow i still dont get why they wanted to play against us especially.'

*Sigh*

"What ya sighing for? Ya scared of the game tomorrow?" A voice with a heavy kansai dialect suddenly says from behind me.

"And even if i was, we'd still have to play against you and the other two", i turn around meeting face to face with the slightly taller male.

"Ya got that right", he responds with a smirk," What ya still awake for?"

"I doubt thats any of your business."

"Now, now i just asked a simple question. But ya know i was actually searching for ya."

"Oh? How did i get to that honor?"

"My, my ya do have quite the attitude but i like that...", he says with his eyes clouding strangely.

'🏳️‍🌈?'

I raise an eyebrow at his words but dont pay too much mind to it,"Why were you searching for me?"

"Hm? Just wanted to tell ya that i figured out ya teams weakness."

'Weakness? Whats his deal?'
"The h*ll you mean 'weakness'!?"

"No need to get snarky its not ya after all..."

I raise an eyebrow at the males words.

"...but morely ya little friend with the light brown hair", the crow guy finishes his sentence leaving me with a frown on my face.

"He's not a weakness. He helped me in many games already."

"Might be but his body overall is quite weak he won't be able to take on Yukimiya nor Eita and especially not me." He responds starting to walk closer to me,"Better be ready to be crushed and stolen."

His last words being finished he walks past me and further down the corridor,"See ya in the game tomorrow."

'that f*cking a**hole.' My face scrunches up as i start walking back to my teams temporary room 'I'll make sure to prove this guy wrong and show him how strong Akino is.'

As i slowly open the door to our room i see how Nanase is curled up like a ball and his blanket is laying on the floor while he has some drool slipping past his lips that are slightly parted.

'He sleeps like a baby, hehe. Pretty cute not gonna lie' I walk to his bed and pick up the blanket wrapping it over his body again carefully to not wake him up.

After i stood straight again something hard lands on my head, looking up i see how that 'something' is connected to the body of a certain sleeping ball of energy.

Reaching up to his hand on my head and putting it back on top off the bed the smaller hand grabs mine tightly.

"We'll...win..."

My eyes widen slightly at the quiet whisper coming from the boy. I have no idea if he was still awake or that was done unintentionally but it definitively reached far down in my heart.

'F*ck this is so adorable. Im gonna cry.'

Small tears were already picking at my eyes so i carefully pulled my hand out of his smaller one. I turned to my bed sitting down on it and swinging my legs on top of it aswell.

I drape the blanket over my body and lay down.

'We'll win i'll make sure of it.'

I dont remember when it happend but i was quickly fast asleep before i knew it.

'I really really hope we'll have a chance...'
