The village was gripped by the icy embrace of winter, the wind whispering through the grand landscape like a mournful sigh. A Dwarf emerged from a shop, his purchases – medical supplies, perhaps – tucked securely under his arm. As he stepped out into the biting air, he headed towards the village gate. A figure had been waiting patiently for him there – The Boss, his presence a looming shadow against the snow-dusted ground.
"Hey, Professor, you've kept me waiting," The Boss greeted with a warm smile.
But as The Boss uttered the word "Professor" in public, the Dwarf approached him with a serious expression, his face a mix of annoyance and anger.
"Hey, I told you not to call me by my title in public, it could put me in danger," Mr. Wills hissed, keeping his voice low.
"What's the harm, there are no A.Z.X.C. people here, Professor."
"I know there aren't, but there are always witnesses, eager to report my every move to A.Z.X.C. headquarters. Understand?" Mr. Wills turned away from The Boss and walked towards their carriage.
"But, Professor Wills S.S Erosansara, why so cautious?" The Boss approached him, his aura radiating a chilling tension after hearing him addressed as Professor.
"I told you not to call me by that title again," he said with a firmness that bordered on intimidation, his hand hovering near his staff, ready to unleash his magic. The Boss felt the weight of Mr. Wills's power and spoke with a hint of fear.
"Easy there, I was just asking, Mr. Wills. And please, don't do that again, to me, Mr. Wills."
Mr. Wills turned away from The Boss after hearing his response, returning his focus to their carriage.
"As for why I'm cautious, it's because I don't want my carefully laid plans to crumble just because that title is mentioned," he said seriously. "So, keep your mouth shut, if you want to know the whereabouts of your sister... Understand, Ken."
After Mr. Wills addressed The Boss by his real name, Ken, the latter quickly followed him to the carriage, taking his seat beside him.
"But, Mr. Wills, there's something I still don't understand about your plan," Ken said, his voice laced with curiosity.
"What confuses you about my plan, Ken?"
"I'm baffled as to why we had to stage that fight with Kevin. And why did we do it? For what purpose? I need a more detailed explanation of your plan, pretending not to know me so I could fight Kevin." After hearing Ken's question, Mr. Wills turned his gaze away and provided a thoughtful answer.
"Do you remember the girl with the magical powers?"
"You mean Halyna?"
"Yes, Halyna. She is the heart of this plan, and the key to achieving our goal. Do you understand?"
Hearing Professor Wills's explanation, Ken realized the plan was quite wicked and saw the Professor as a cunning individual, much like himself.
"Yes, I understand, Mr. Wills. That's why I like you, because you're different from the other Dwarves, Hahaha," he chuckled with a mischievous tone.
"Yes, that's why I was expelled from A.Z.X.C., because they felt I didn't fit in with their organization." Wills adjusted his position and rode off with his horse, which began to move.
"Oh, one more thing I wanted to ask." Professor Wills said nothing, simply looking at Ken.
"About that female doctor?"
"Oh, you mean V, don't worry, she doesn't know my true identity. That Elf is just a subordinate of mine who wants to chase her dreams." Wills and Ken, with their carriage, left the village, heading towards something bigger...
