The atmosphere in the village was friendly. The sun began to descend, greeting the village with a warm orange glow. In a simple house, there was an aura of comfort and safety. However, behind that tranquility, there was a hint of worry. Her beloved daughter had gone on an adventure, leaving a trail of longing in that cozy home. But, she wasn't alone. Beside her, a true and loyal friend accompanied her, sharing the burden of her worries, while her daughter was away.
"Hey, Monna. Are you okay?" V asked.
Monna frowned, her eyes welling up. Worry about her child, who was on a dangerous adventure, filled her heart.
"No. I'm fine," she replied, trying hard to hide her worry. Her tone was flat, and her smile felt forced.
V, who had known Monna for a long time and was an expert at reading facial expressions, could feel the lie radiating from every word that came out of Monna's lips. V said softly.
"Don't be like that, Monna.. I know you're lying about your feelings. I told you, lying is not good, Monna."
"Yes, I know," sighed Monna, her voice muffled. "But it's hard to feel comfortable if you don't lie."
V looked at her intensely, her eyes catching the worry hidden behind Monna's face. "I know," she whispered softly. "You're thinking about Halyna, Monna. Eyes can't lie," she said knowingly, Monna was worried about Halyna.
"Yes, you're right. I'm worried about her. It's hard not to think strange things, when she goes on an adventure."
V reached for Monna's hand, calming her with a gentle touch. "I know, I know," she said, her voice full of understanding. "That's why I'm here, to keep you company, until her adventure is over."
"Thank you, V. You're the best."
The two of them hugged each other, the warmth of their bodies calming each other. Monna felt the burden in her heart lessen a little.
"How about we go to Mr. Givnao's bakery. To buy his cake?"
"That's okay," replied Monna, her eyes fixed on the almost empty cake box. "As it happens, the cake is almost gone."
They both went out of the house, with Monna feeling better than before. Because she believed in Halyna, she would finish her adventure safely..
On the lower side of the earth, where Halyna and her friends opened the door of the temple, they saw a staircase that went down again. And they started to go down the stairs. A silent sound enveloped them as their footsteps echoed on the stone walls, until they reached the end of the stairs. Below them, a leather bridge stretched across the chasm, circling a large towering rock. The bridge seemed shorter than before, as if it was built in a hurry. They stepped in, as if sucked into the circle of leather that circled the large rock.
In the middle of the area, a purple vase stood tall on a red carpet. Strange symbols, like carved words, circled the carpet. Halyna, Kevin, Chris, and Seris approached the vase, convinced that the Earth God was locked inside. They crossed the leather bridge, the chasm gaping below their feet. Their eyes scanned the area, trying to understand the magic system used to imprison the Earth God. Chris, who was sensitive to symbols, approached and tried to read them. After a while, he didn't fully understand the meaning of the symbols, but he knew who was actually sealed inside the vase. Soon, he said to his friends.
"Hey, guys, here.. there's something you might not expect."
"What is it? Can you read that?" asked Kevin, his eyes narrowed curiously.
"Yes, but only partially."
They approached, Chris standing a little further back, angled to read the symbols.
