The chamber was dimly lit, shadows dancing on the ancient stone walls. The air was thick with the tension of impending treachery. Seated around a circular table, the members of the Dark Council watched Seraphine with cold, calculating eyes.

"You know what is required of you, Seraphine," spoke the leader of the Council, his voice a low growl that echoed in the silence. His gaunt face, hidden beneath a hood, betrayed no emotion, only a gleaming hunger for power. "Lucifer must be weakened. His influence must fade."

Seraphine, her eyes glinting with a cruel determination, nodded slowly. "I will infiltrate his trust. He has always harbored some sentiment toward me. That will be our opening."

The youngest member of the Council, a wiry figure with sharp, bird-like features, leaned forward. "Once you are close, you must gradually poison him. Not in body, but in spirit. Use your abilities to draw out the darkness from within him. Slowly, imperceptibly, so that even he cannot detect it until it is too late."

Seraphine smiled, her lips curling upward in a sly grin. "Leave it to me. Lucifer will never see it coming."

The leader raised a hand to silence the room. "We are counting on you, Seraphine. This is our chance to bring him to his knees. Do not fail us."

With a graceful nod, Seraphine turned and left the chamber, the weight of her mission pressing heavily on her. She knew that the fate of the Dark Council rested on her success. But she was confident—Lucifer’s trust in her would be his undoing.

---

Weeks passed, and Seraphine's presence in Lucifer’s court became a familiar sight. She played her part well, offering counsel, friendship, and subtle comfort in moments of doubt. Her proximity allowed her to influence him subtly, her powers working to cloud his judgment and sap his strength.

Lucifer, distracted by the weight of his responsibilities, did not notice the slow change within him. His power waned, but he attributed it to the stress of war, to the countless battles and the looming threat of the Dark Lords. Seraphine, always at his side, offered quiet reassurances, her words laced with venom that poisoned his mind.

Yet, Leo and Valyron began to sense something was wrong. They saw the weariness in Lucifer’s eyes, the way he moved with less vigor, how his decisions became clouded. Seraphine’s influence was growing too strong, and they could no longer ignore the possibility of treachery.

---

In the grand hall, Leo and Valyron stood before Lucifer, their expressions grave. Seraphine was absent from this confrontation, her presence elsewhere in the castle.

"Lucifer, we have reason to believe that Seraphine has been manipulating you," Valyron began cautiously. "Your power is fading, and we think she’s behind it."

Lucifer frowned, his brow furrowing with confusion. "Seraphine? She has been nothing but loyal to me."

"She may appear that way," Leo interjected, his tone firm. "But we have our suspicions. Her influence over you... it isn’t natural."

Lucifer looked between the two of them, doubt flickering in his eyes. "You are suggesting that she has been poisoning me? In spirit?"

"Yes," Valyron replied softly. "We don’t think it’s a coincidence that you’ve grown weaker since she arrived. We need to act before it’s too late."

For a moment, Lucifer remained silent, the weight of their words sinking in. Then, with a heavy sigh, he nodded. "Very well. If what you say is true, then she must be removed from the castle."

---

Seraphine’s expulsion was swift. She offered no resistance, though her eyes betrayed a hint of satisfaction. As she was led away, she cast one final glance at Lucifer, a knowing smile on her lips. The damage had already been done.

---

In the depths of the Dark Council’s lair, the members gathered once again, their faces alight with cruel satisfaction.

"The plan is working," the leader murmured, his voice a hiss of triumph. "Lucifer grows weaker by the day. Even though Seraphine has been discovered, the seeds of darkness have already been planted."

Another member chuckled darkly. "Soon, he will be too weak to stand against us. And when the time comes, we will strike."

The leader raised his hand, silencing the room once more. "Patience. Let the poison do its work. We will wait until Lucifer is at his weakest before we make our move."

With that, the Council fell into a quiet, sinister anticipation, their eyes gleaming with the promise of victory.

Meanwhile, back in the castle, Valyron struggled with a vision that had haunted him in his sleep. He saw the dark lords advancing upon them, a fierce battle raging in the heart of the kingdom. Amidst the chaos, he saw Lucifer fall, his body crumbling under the weight of his injuries and the darkness that still clung to him.

The vision left Valyron shaken, his mind racing with the fear of what was to come. He knew they had to act quickly, to protect Lucifer before the dark lords launched their final assault.

But how could he reveal the truth to Lucifer without breaking him further? How could he bear the weight of knowing what was to come, without losing hope himself?

Valyron resolved to protect Lucifer at all costs. But he kept the darkest part of his vision to himself, determined to find a way to alter their fate. As Lucifer passed by, he saw Valyron's stressed face. He asked him," What happened Valyron, why are you so sad?" Valyron looked at him, thinking that it would be better to be transparent. "I saw a vision a few days ago, when Seraphine was here. A vision that left me shaken. I.... I saw a battle... against the Dark Council. And... And... I saw that we lost. Not only the battle... but... but.. You as well." Lucifer was shocked hearing about it. Nevertheless, he replied,"Valyron, I am not scared of death. If I die fighting the Dark Lords so be it." As he said these inspirational words, he fell down. With barely a heartbeat and pulse, it seemed Lucifer was going to die.

---

And so, preparations began for a sacred ritual, far from the castle, that would shield Lucifer from further harm. Lucifer started getting better, but was still in a frail state. However, Valyron trusted the process. After a few hours, Lucifer woke up with anger running through his veins. His body was not strong enough but his mental strength was strong enough for him to believe that he could fight. Leo took charge of the kingdom’s defenses, rallying the armies and preparing for the battle that loomed on the horizon.

But as the war drums echoed in the distance, Valyron could not shake the fear that they were fighting against a future that had already been written in blood.

The fate of their kingdom, and of Lucifer himself, now hung in the balance.
