"I must admit, I truly admire your perseverance. After all, you have been kept here for a month already but yet to cave in. Though I suppose, you giving in too easily would spoil the fun."

So a month has already passed... It felt like an eternity already... I wonder if someone has noticed my disappearance by now...

Several thoughts raced through Olimpia's mind, as she stared at the ceiling in a dazed look. With constant surveillance and nothing in the room, there was not much else she could do. Except for listening to Coppelius' hateful, sickeningly sweet voice emerging from the speakers stationed next to the surveillance cameras.

She slowly opened her mouth, still gazing at the white ceiling.

"When will you let me see my brother?"

Now that I think about it... Only a month ago I was looking like this at the sky... What did the sky look like again? What did the sun feel like again? What did the grass smell like again?

"... I want to go out" a small murmur escaped her lips unknowingly.

"Hmmm... Then let's do it like this. I'll let you choose. Will you see your brother again? Or will you step outside for... Hmm, I feel generous today so I'll give you 20 minutes." Coppelius, behind the screen, smirked as he observed Olimpia's surprised expression. With eyes filled with doubt, she looked towards the surveillance camera.

"Will you really let me out?" She asked hesitantly. Coppelius chuckled behind his closed fist.

"Seeing you doubt me hurts me. You should know by now, that I keep my word."

How am I supposed to know when you never let me see my brother?

"..." silence followed Coppelius' answer. Olimpia could not decide. And Coppelius was delighted to see her indecisiveness.

Now, what will you choose? Your brother? Or yourself?

A minute of silence passed, before Olimpia opened her mouth once again.

"I... want to see the sun. Let me out."

If I was let outside for even a second, I might finally be able to make heads and tails of where I am and maybe even call for help...

A glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes as she calculated several possible scenarios that could happen.

As long as I can get out...

Coppelius, aware of what she was thinking, smirked even wider. But he decided not to tell Olimpia, excitingly anticipating her expression of despair and disappointment.

"Alright, since you made your decision... I will let you feel the sun for about 20 minutes. Then we will continue with our experiments. And you will not attempt to escape; or else I don't know if I will be able to keep my promise with you as well..." Coppelius said into the microphone, so that his voice could be transferred through the speakers in Olimpia's room.

"Oh, but I will have you wearing handcuffs, as a precaution. I assume you're fine with that?"

Olimpia's joy greatly diminished upon hearing his condition but she tried not to let it show. She instead nodded slightly, excitement and anticipation lingering in her eyes. Coppelius also held these same emotions in his eyes, as well as a wicked sense of joy for a different reason than Olimpia.

"Clara, if you would be so kind as to hand me the cuffs? And Spalanzani, please open the greenhouse."

Coppelius made his way towards Olimpia's room with the handcuffs in one hand, the other hand playing with a remote control in his jacket pocket. A smile once again crept up his face.
