Chapter 2 Her Type

Kai agrichi

Near future

I was on a rooftop with a woman beside me. There was awkward silence.. Only the sound of the wind caressed her hair, making her eyes flutter. She finally started speaking "I don't want to get married"

Present

I continued the dinner without a sound. It was only our parents talking. Then suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by her dad saying his daughter and I should get engaged for the betterment of our companies and explained how we were compatible. I could see the frown on my dad's face. He had not seen that coming

I glanced at her. Surprise rose in her eyes. The thought of marrying a guy she saw for the first time was out of place for her. But no one said a word against our parents. Me with respect and her with fear. Was she afraid of her parents? That innocent peach was AFRAID OF HER PARENTS?!

There were important things to tend to find out then who she was afraid of. As dinner concluded her father insisted that his daughter Alle and I should get to know each other.. And that's how i ended up on my rooftop with a gorgeous girl rejecting the proposal by her parents.
Best day ever.
I wanted to say the same thing to her... But she had beat me to it. "Come on Kai just say you don't wanna get married either"... I said to myself but couldn't say it out loud.
Only a small "why?" was all I could say.
Alle said" You're just not the type of guy I would date"

I could see that it was not the reason but to call me! Not her type!

I was soo pissed. I hated her instantly. All the good thoughts were replaced with a frown.
"at least we're on the same page about not getting married.." I said
"Why do you not wanna get married"
" u don't wanna know the reason for that peach" I whispered causing her goosebumps. That was all the satisfaction I needed. I smirked and was interrupted again. THIS WAS THE FORTH TIME IN A DAY!

Her father had come with my father, still frowning. Gosh, he'd need a surgery to remove a frown that big.

As they left, we needed a family meeting ASAP.

"Kai" a stern voice said.
I looked at him and his unfamiliar tone that caught me off guard.
He only said one line " Kai, you have to marry her. For our sake" i spoke no more. There was no use arguing with father. He was a stubborn man. He got what he wanted. Including mother, the company, and everything he desired.

I walked to my room hitting two tables and tripping three times on the stairs. The only thought shouting in my mind was... The agrichi had to submit to someone else to the point where his son had to get married to a woman who thinks he's not her type!

The next day I got up and went to school like nothing happened. "hey bro!" Markus said "Hey man" I greeted him." Bro, did u see the new kid? Ahh.. Who am I asking you're probably a guy obsessed with his grades! But I heard she's super pretty.. Dayymm I wanna see her..!!"

I ignored him and his tantrum to see the new girl. The teacher entered with a small girl walking behind him. She must be the new kid, I thought. She had brown hair and once again her honey-dipped husky eyes. It was Alle benrick. She didn't even leave me in school after giving her big speech on how I was not her type. But somewhere in me, I knew that it was her father's force. I scoffed at the drama her father played to set us up.

She sat beside Marta. "ohh.. Martas gonna corrupt her innocent soul" said Markus. "So she's the new kid ha?" I said already knowing the answer to that. " Based on how people are gushing over her.. That's probably her." Markus replied.
I didn't care much. And by resses, I realized she didn't either. She socialized like normal high school teens.

Gosh, I felt like a stalker.

I called Jenna and informed her that I had a meeting at lunch and wanted a ride. As soon i put the phone down there she was..adjacent to me. She sat beside me like we had been best buddies for a decade. I could practically hear Anglia grinning her teeth when she bent in to take my milkshake.
I could see Markus smirk at me which sent a shiver down my spine.

I had no idea what she was trying to pull but I could see Marta giggle. It must be her doing.

I whispered in her ears" I was in the opinion that I'm not ur type. But here you are..acting like a school girl with her crush"
It made her face go red for a split second then she regained her composure.
" i thought the same too.. B- but then again, it's for the betterment of our families"
"Your family peach, not ours" i corrected her not knowing exactly what happened but i was sure the Agrich did not need any sort of help.

I could see that she was guilty of how her family forced her onto me. But she did not want to show any weaknesses.

"Well in that case i better leave Mr. Agrichi, you probably don't want to be seen with me.. Do you?" she took her food, got up, and took two steps just to turn back and say " Just so you know Mr. Agrichi.. I hate you. And will always for ruining my dreams"

She left with so much anger, more than what her little head could take. I smirked at her pointless display of I don't know what but it was working..
