"Maybe if you give it some time, you might find out if there's still something between you that's worth exploring."

Marta weaved through the crowd gathered around the paddock, the heart of the race weekend. It was her first time experiencing the atmosphere of Formula 1, and she could feel the adrenaline coursing through her veins. The sounds of engines, laughter, and voices from loudspeakers blended into a constant hum. Although she tried to stay calm, she could feel her pulse quicken, and everything around her seemed to spin.

Carlos had promised to take care of her, but as soon as she found him, he disappeared into the team's area to prepare for the upcoming qualifying session. Suddenly, Marta found herself alone in the midst of chaos, surrounded by people who seemed to be in constant motion. She didn't know where to go or what to do. She felt lost and somewhat anxious—feelings she wasn't used to. She always knew what to do and where to go. In the theater, people might feel tense and nervous, but that wasn't her. She had been doing it for years—sure, there was always a bit of nervousness, but she certainly didn't suffer from stage fright. But today, she did.

She remembered Carlos's words before he left: "Find Kelly Piquet. Max told her about you, and I think you two will get along." Marta had nodded at the time, but now, surrounded by so many unfamiliar people, it was beginning to seem like a daunting task. Plus, everyone she passed looked the same. They all wore team jerseys or at least team caps. Everyone was ready for the race, while Marta was still fumbling and wondering what she was doing there. She had no business being there. She should have stayed with the twins in Madrid and enjoyed a day in the city or taken them on a trip to the sea. She couldn't believe she was actually in Austria.

After a few minutes of wandering among fans and team members, Marta stopped and looked around. And then she saw her. Kelly Piquet, an elegant and charismatic woman, was standing by one of the booths, talking to someone who looked like a journalist. Nervously, Marta headed towards her, trying to muster the courage to approach. As she got closer, Kelly noticed her and paused her conversation.

"Yes?" Kelly asked with a gentle smile, though there was a slight look of confusion in her eyes.

Marta took a quick breath and smiled, albeit a bit nervously. "Hi, sorry to interrupt. I'm Marta... Carlos's friend. Max said I should find you and that we might get along."

Kelly hesitated for a moment, processing the information. Then a friendly smile appeared on her face. "Oh, of course, Marta! Max told me about you. Sorry, I was just surprised. You know, this weekend is so chaotic. How are you?" She seemed sympathetic and definitely knew how things worked at the races. Marta didn't know her or who she was, but she already liked this woman. On top of everything, she was stunning, which Marta envied because she felt she looked terrible in comparison.

Marta breathed a little easier when she saw that Kelly was friendly and approachable. "To be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed. It's my first race, and I really have no idea how things work here. Carlos disappeared as soon as I found him, and now I'm all alone in the middle of this chaos." She glanced around, as if to show she didn't like being alone among so many people. She never enjoyed crowded places, because you never knew what could happen. And with all the bad news about various attacks, especially in crowded places, Marta had developed a dislike for them and always tried to avoid them. But today, she had no choice but to be in one.
