Blaire Marjorie Everly
extremely unedited
A FEW WEEKS HAD COME and gone. Blaire was still struggling, but she was healthier. Lucy was still by her side for every second of her journey. Blaire spent a lot of her time at Lucy's house.
Ruth wasn't home very often. She was either out with Venus or Harley, and if she was home she was locked in her room. Blaire couldn't help but be worried about her. She would smile, but it didn't reach her eyes. Every time Blaire asked Ruth if she was okay, she would say she was, but it was clearly a lie. Clearly they didn't stand together anymore. Ruth constantly looked anxious, her hands never seemed to stop shaking. Blaire wished Ruth would talk to her. The more she lost her sister, the more she seemed to lose herself.
"You ready to go, Evvy?" Blaire heard Lucy ask.
They were going shopping. Blaire nodded, and Lucy smiled and grabbed her hand. The two hadn't made their relationship official yet, and they traveled an hour to go on dates. Coming out for Blaire could mean a lot of bad things, and she wasn't ready to find them out. She knew her mother wouldn't support her, and neither would Addison or Mia.
"I'm so excited to take you out again," Lucy gushed quietly. Sometimes the two were shy with each other, these new dynamics were a bit odd at times.
"Me too," Blaire said as her cheeks heated up.
Blaire was wearing Lucy's clothes, she'd been doing that a lot. Being home made her feel sad, mostly because Ruth was sad, so she hadn't been home in a few days. She had on a dark pink tank top and white jean shorts. The shorts had pink flowers embroidered on them. Blaire didn't think Lucy owned a pair of jeans without embroidery. Lucy had braided Blaire's hair into a french braid half up half down look or something. Blaire had no clue of hair terminologies, she just knew it looked good.
Meanwhile, Lucy's outfit was slightly more intricate, and so beautiful. Lucy rocked anything. She was wearing jean short overalls with strawberries embroidered on them and a white blouse. Her hair was up in space buns, and she put two strawberry hair clips on both of the buns. She liked to have themes for her outfits, today she chose strawberries. She looked so gorgeous. Just looking at her made Blaire feel faint. She was everything Blaire could ever ask for.
Lucy squealed happily as she grabbed Blaire's hand and dragged her out of the house. That was something Blaire loved about Lucy, she was always so happy, like she was a fragment of sunshine, or a breath of fresh air.
"I'm gonna spoil you today!" Lucy gushed, making Blaire groan.
"Lovie, me telling you I wanted to find clothes that suit me a bit more, didn't mean that you should buy them for me!" Blaire retorted, making Lucy giggle.
"But I want to," Lucy pouted, giving Blaire the infamous puppy dog eyes. Blaire couldn't say no to that gorgeous face.
"Fine," Blaire muttered, and Lucy let out a shriek of excitement. "But I'm buying some of them."
"We'll see."
It was no secret that Lucy had a lot of money, and she liked to spend it. But only on those she really loved.
They got in Lucy's car and started driving towards the mall. It was a fun car ride, the two girls were jamming out and having the time of their lives. Every time Lucy would sing, Blaire couldn't help but stare at her. She was so majestic, so perfectly imperfect.
"Blaire!" Lucy giggled, and Blaire nodded. "Did you know... that Girls Like Girls like boys do?"
Blaire rolled her eyes as Girls Like Girls started playing.
