The soft morning light filters through the large windows of Krishna's clinic, casting a calming glow on the minimalist decor. Radhika steps in hiding her face with the mask to hide her identity, her face a mix of determination and fake anxiety, her elegant appearance contrasting with the clinical environment.
She takes a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves as she walks towards the reception desk.
Receptionist: "Good morning. How can I help you today?"
Radhika: "I have an appointment with Dr. Krishna Khanna."
The receptionist nods and picks up the phone to notify Krishna. Radhika takes a seat in the waiting area, her fingers nervously tapping against her handbag. The anticipation is palpable as she waits for her name to be called.
Receptionist: "Excuse me mam, You can find Dr. Krishna on 12th floor. He is waiting for you there."
Radhika stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the corridor leading to Krishna's office. The hallway was quiet, and the atmosphere was serene, but her mind was preoccupied with the task at hand. She was about to knock on Krishna's door when her foot caught on the edge of the carpet.
In an instant, she began to stumble. Before she could fully fall, Krishna's strong hands grasped her waist, steadying her.
Their eyes locked, and for a brief moment, the world seemed to narrow to just the two of them. There was a spark in the air, an electric charge of connection that neither could ignore. But just as quickly as he had caught her, Krishna let go, and Radhika stumbled backward and fell on her butt.
"Fuck!! Do you always catch people just to drop them?" Radhika snapped, her tone sharp and incredulous.
Krishna looked at her with a mix of surprise and calm. "I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
Radhika straightened herself, still feeling a bit disoriented. "Well, you succeeded. It's like you were playing a game. Why let go so abruptly?"
Krishna's gaze softened slightly as he shrugged. "When we first met at the party, I tried to help you by consoling you after your fight with Sneha. You made it clear that you didn't need anyone's help."
