10: Date fail

He'd never ever expected his best friend to like him back, not in a million years did Scorpius Malfoy think that. But here they were, having kissed once or was it twice? He'd honestly lost in between his sobs. He suddenly realized Albus had never come back about Hogsmeed, when he'd asked him in that letter.
'Al' He looked up at Albus.
'Yeah? '
'You never came back about Hogsmeed in the letter I sent'
'Oh yeah sorry' His brown eyes looked more puppy-like than ever but his hair was another game, his hair was naturally curly, having a middle parting, being short and the sides and back. Scorpius could have ruffled it there and then but he stopped himself. 'Do you still want to go' Albus asked.
'I am not forcing you to, but normally only go with dad to the same places' he rolled his eyes 'It'd be nice to go with someone else for change'
'Then it's a date' he smiled, Scorpius couldn't take it any longer and had to ruffle Albus' hair. 'Hey, stop and someone must be feeling better' He giggled.
'Sorry just soooo irresistible, plus you do it to me so' but he nodded obviously feeling better.
'guess we're equal then' he said manoeuvring Scorpius off his lap. 'Mum and dad' he muttered as Scorpius looked at him like, why?. 'Also just for like a while do you mind keeping us a secret? '
'No, no not at all I take it for James in case he asks questions or says anything, I also understand, Hogwarts, could make the bullies worse'
'Yeah we can tell our parents though I don't mind'
'I might tell dad if you don't mind, coz I think he suspects something'
Harry then rushed though the door. 'Well good thing, we got a lead, not great, oh. ' he stopped, there was an awkward tension between the boys he must have noticed. 'Doe one is Scorpius ok and two why are you looking as though you've done something? ' he asked, raising an eyebrow.
'Yeah dad, he's fine and we've done nothing' Albus said getting an elbow from Scorpius 'you said to tell them' he mouthed.
'What did he just mouth Al? '
'We'll wait for.. ' Ginny burst open the door 'you told them about the lead' she was breathless, probably having rushed in. She looked between the two boys 'mum... '.
'I think they want to tell us something first' Harry said glancing at his wife.
'Ah now what is it? ' she pulled up the nearest chair and sat, watching the two intently.
'Tell us the lead then we'll tell you'
'Ok' Harry began 'so we went to St. Mungos to see Ron and it was indeed a black bird that attacked him, and it fits the definition of an Irish Phoenix also known as an Augurey, that's all'
'So Scorpius got that right? ' Albus said glancing between him and his parents. 'I mean of course he did I never doubted him but anything on Delphi'
'Apart from the bird no' Ginny replied shaking her head.
'Ok, at least we've got one thing, but we're still no closer' Scorpius' eyes were still ever so slightly stained with tears from sobbing.
'Yeha anyway what did you what to tell us? ' Harry asked.
'Erm... Well so you know the other day how James asked me or said... '
'Whether you like Scorpius, yes' Ginny looked at her son who nodded.
'Your lucky I know Ginny, you'd be the worst spoilee if he hadn't' Scorpius chuckled.
'Sorry... Wait he knows... '
'I know you could tell I was lying when well I denied it'
'Yeah... I could kinda tell as well before that's Harry put in. 'With the thing you said when we were at Cedric's grave, about him being the most important person in your life' He was looking directly at Scorpius.
'You really said that, well you know my side, which is the exactlu the same' Scorpius said locking eyes with Albus.
'Well yeah'
'Boys' Ginny had obviously seen where this was going 'it's ok if you are we're not going to be mad'
'Well that's not exactly confirmed' Scorpius murmured.
'Well you did something' Harry looked between the two again who were now blushing. 'Did you? Like your mum said we wouldn't be mad. '
'Ok ok we kissed once or twice' Albus said giving up and falling into the nearest chair.
'Well yeah....' Scorpius looked down at his hands shyly.

It was the first time Scorpius had been to anywhere else but the three broomsticks in Hogsmeed. Although they just walked around mostly it was nice to have someone else in tow for once other than his dad.

Albus then steered him into Honeydukes, Albus had never been to Hogsmeed but new of the place because of dad and his mum. It was cramped, but they still had enough place to move at least. They quickly bought some things and left the busy shop.
'Well, I didn't think dad would have a problem with you know, us dating' Scorpius bounced a little ahead of Albus.
No reply came. 'Albus? ' he questioned still looking in front. Again no reply. 'Albus? ' He looked behind him, no one was there, Albus had been following two minutes ago. A shooting pain, went up the back of Scorpius' neck, it was hot to touch. Then he started losing focus. Hissing nosies started incasing the area around him. 'She's out, she's out you've got 1 hour' they called.
