A loud knock on the door woke me up and I jolted upright to a completely black room. James, who could sleep through a tornado, was still next to me; I smiled as I got up and crossed to room. I must have fallen asleep on the couch while watching the movie 'cause now we were both in the tiny bed cuddled up together.

"Sophie, open the door I forgot my key." Emma called from the hall.

"Okay, just a second." I opened the door and she rushed inside.

"You ran out pretty quickly tonight, everything okay?" She took off her jacket and placed it on a chair and eyed James in my bed. "What the hell Sophie." I could tell she wasn't angry just confused about the sight of her brother lying there.

"Nothing happened Emma, trust me. We fell asleep watching a movie that's all." She relaxed a little at my words.

"Sorry for overreacting." She amended.

"Yeah, you do that a lot laity. Overreact that is." I gave her a small smile.

"I just don't either of you to get hurt. You're my best friend and he is my brother." She hugged me and walked into the bathroom to shower before bed. I went back and climbed in my bed again just as James rolled over and pinned me to the mattress with his heavy arm and in that moment I felt completely comfortable and safe all at once, I smiled and drifted off to sleep again.

I woke the next morning entwined in James' arms and his leg was folded over mine. "Good morning." He smiled at me.

"Hi!" A shy smile appeared on my face. My god, he is gorgeous right now. I thought to myself afraid to say the words out loud.

"You're rather fetching this morning." He leaned in and kissed my cheek and I flushed again. How the hell does he do that? Make me melt like that, I wondered.

"Thanks, I think, but I'm sure I look like a mess."

"Sophie you just don't see yourself as everyone else does." He winked and untwined his body from mine. I stretched and sat up.

"Um... By the way Emma forgot her key again last night. I had to let her in. I thought she was going to have a cow when she saw you in my bed." I giggled again.

"Don't worry about Emma." He crossed the room to grab fresh clothes and walked back into the bathroom to change.

When we had our breakfast eaten and everything packed up in my car we headed out into the world again. I sat in the back seat listening to music blaring from my headphones and trying not to laugh at Emma and James in the front seat having a discussion about last night. This had been going on for about an hour so the music was a welcomed distraction.

"But James I don't want either of you to get..." Emma was saying when James cut her off abruptly.

"Emma will please you stop, for the last time we are not going to hurt each other." He huffed, looking back at me and smiling, a wide grin broke out on my face and I laughed.

"He's right you know Emma." I couldn't help myself.

"Yeah I know but I still don't think it's a good idea that's all. Don't get me wrong or anything, I love you both, it's just that we're trying to keep each other safe." She was glancing at James again.

"Will you too please stop?" I eyed them both.
