Laureia stared down at her phone, the screen dark and cold. There had been no response to her messages, no missed calls, nothing. Christian had gone silent, and with each passing hour, her suspicions only grew stronger. She felt a deep sadness in her chest, an ache that came from the fear of betrayal. But mixed in with the sadness was something else-anger. She was angry at Christian for making her feel this way, angry at herself for still holding onto hope, and angry at the situation that had brought her to this point.

But as much as the thought of him cheating tore at her, Laureia wasn't ready to break up with him-not yet. She needed to know the truth first. She needed to know who the other woman was. If she was going to end things, she wanted to do it on her own terms, with all the facts laid out in front of her.

She knew it wasn't healthy to cling to this relationship out of a need for answers, but she couldn't help it. She wasn't the type to walk away without knowing the whole story. There was a part of her that still held onto the small, fragile hope that she was wrong, that Christian wasn't the man she feared he had become. But deep down, she knew she couldn't let this go until she had confirmation.

Laureia took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She knew what she had to do. She would find out who the girl was. She would gather every bit of information she could, and if it turned out that her worst fears were true, then she would walk away with her head held high. No more tears, no more waiting around for answers that might never come.

She wasn't going to let herself be a victim. If Christian was cheating, then he had already lost her respect, but she would be the one to decide when and how this relationship ended. She wasn't going to let it crumble under the weight of uncertainty. No, she would find out the truth, and then she would decide what came next.

Laureia's resolve hardened as she made up her mind. She wasn't done with Christian yet, but the clock was ticking. She would find the truth, and when she did, she would be ready to face whatever came next. And this time, she wouldn't shed another tear over him.
