CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

Crystal's POV

    To say I was a nervous wreck is the biggest understatement of the month, the lady whom Lucian was bringing over is coming today.
  I know I shouldn't be like this but after that encounter with Nina, a part of me thinks that she would be like that but Lucian seems to be positive that she is nice and that has helped my thoughts from spiralling out of control.
         Lucian left not long ago to bring her over and I've spent my time playing the candy crush game on my phone so as to keep myself distracted.
        The noise coming from the door caught my attention before the door opened to reveal Lucian and a beautiful brunette, she wore a pale green dress and her face looks friendly which eased my mind.  
                 "Hi, my name's Lily" she waved showing her pearly teeth.
        "Hi" I walked closer to where they stood noticing her green eyes. "My name's crystal "
       Lucian pulled me into his embrace once I was close enough, "told you she's nice" he whispered in my ears .
          "Alright ladies, I've got to go" he pecked my forehead causing my cheeks to redden.
       "Bye" I said while Lily bowed her head slightly.
        "You're really pretty and I love your hair" she gushed twirling some strands on her fingers.
          "Really?" I had to ask, her smile was contagious.
         "Yeah...I really want to dye my hair but my mum would have my head for dinner" I'm sure my eyes almost popped out of their sockets caused she burst into a fit of laughter wheezing at my expression.
        "I w..was exa..ggerating " she managed to say and I relaxed.
          "I didn't dye mine but why won't she let you dye yours " we were sitted on the couch by now.
          "Cool....she wants to keep our legacy color saying we are the ' ordinem Noctis' and our signature is the color of our hair,  she's been able to maintain that after all she is the head of our coven"
I was starstrucked as she animatedly used her hand to gesticulate.
            "You're a witch, that's wonderful" she nodded her head wearing a prideful grin.
         "So everybody in your coven is a brunette"
         "Uhmm...yeah, I guess... everybody except my elder brother, Evans, he's the only person able to defy our mother, he trives in it"
         " And your mother doesn't mind"
        "Not really, they are always at each others throat, Evans is pretty special.....okay so enough about me, let's talk about you"  I turned to face away from her, not knowing to say.
      "There's nothing special about my life.."
      "Nah.. don't give me that surely there must be something " she poked curiosity written all over her face.
          "Okay, I'm human, I was living with my stepmom and sisters which was not a nice experience and now I'm finding out that my mum and dad were leaders of a pack and were brutally killed in an accident" okay maybe my life was taking a dramatic turn.
           "Well...I smell drama in there, so your mum and dad were supernaturals?" She asked and I nodded.
          "Are you sure you are human because it's pretty unheard of for two supernaturals to birth a human" she asked thinking to herself like she was trying to figure out why the earth is round.
            "Well I've been a human for the past twenty years so it's safe to say I'm human" I broke her away from her thoughts.
               "Doesn't still matter, I know of someone whose wolf was trapped by a witch so she couldn't undergo transformation till the spell was broken"
            "Alright....let's drop the subject, what do you wanna do?" I shifted my attention back to the blank screen.
             "For now.....let's tour the pack house" she suggested looking excited but my heart stopped, touring the pack house meant meeting new people who most probably knew I'm their Alpha's mate.
             Hey..hey....trust me, Lucian told me a bit about your anxiety when meeting new people so we aren't actually going to the pack house but the huge garden at the back, nobody will be there at this hour"  I smiled at her grateful for her consideration.
       "Okay..let me tell Lucian"
          "Alright...lover girl" she chirped causing heat to rush up my face.
         'hi...Lily and I would be going to the garden in the pack house '
   His response came instantly.
            'Would you be okay?' I smiled at his concern sending a quick yes.
         'alright then....stay close to Lily and don't miss me too much"
     I dropped my face looking up to see Lily staring at me with a weird expression that made my cheeks to redden.
    She laughed as I ran upstairs to change into something comfier.
