                     Vanya's POV

Vanya, meet me in my cabin. With that he head towards his cabin.

"Is this a dream or reality?"

Purva please pinch me.

Oh babe, he actually called you to his cabin.

Hmmm hmmmm, she teased.

Please Purva.

Ohhh, vanu why are you thinking too much.

Who knows if he really needs something from you or if he judged you based on your education and qualifications and selected you because, and you know na babe you are the best in everything.

Okay now, I need to compose myself. Breath Vanya breath, I said to myself.

Now Vanya go it's been 5 mins since he called you.

You know how punctual he is with time. If he gets angry with you, then go now.

I nodded and left from there, my heart racing with anticipation and a hint of fear.

I stood outside his cabin, my heart pounding in my chest. I took a deep breath, raised my hand, and knocked on the door.

'Come in,' he said in his deep, commanding voice.

I pushed the door open and stepped inside, my eyes locking onto his. He sat behind his desk, his expression unreadable. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he gestured for me to take a seat. I obeyed, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. What did he want from me?

For a few minutes, he didn't say a word, just kept staring at me with an unnerving intensity. I felt like an insect under a microscope.

Then, he broke the silence, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine. 'So, Ms.Vanya...' he began, his pause making my heart skip a beat.I have seen your qualification and also your certificates. Your work, your dedication... it's impressive.' He leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. 'But I think you have more potential than you're showing. Potential that I can help you unlock.'

As he spoke, his eyes seemed to hold a hint of something more, something that made my heart flutter. But he quickly looked away, clearing his throat. 'Let's focus on the project, Vanya. I'll brief you on the details.' He handed me a folder, his fingers brushing against mine. The touch sent shivers down my spine. I feel something twisted in my stomach , but he seemed to ignore it, his expression turning professional once more.

I took the folder, trying to compose myself. As I flipped through the pages, I realized the project was much bigger than I had anticipated. I looked up at him, who was watching me intently.

This is a huge responsibility,' I said, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. He nodded, his eyes still locked on mine. 'I know you can handle it, Ms.Vanya. I've seen your work.' He paused, his gaze softening for a moment.

'And I'll be with you every step of the way.' The way he said it made my heart skip a beat. Was it just a figure of speech, or was there something more to it?

I felt a surge of determination and nodded. 'I won't let you down, sir.' He smiled, a small, enigmatic smile. 'I know you won't, Ms.Vanya.

Now, let's get started.' He stood up, and I followed suit. As we walked out of the cabin, I couldn't help but notice the way he moved with confident ease. I found myself drawn to him, again. But I pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the task at hand.

"In afternoon."

It's 3.00 PM in the afternoon now. We have been working since 5 hours.

"I'm sitting here reading a file and highlighting important stuff, and he's working on his laptop, when my stomach starts growling with hunger."
