3. Unknown yet familiar

Malhaar

I was coming out of devu's hostel, when someone bumped their head into my chest very forcefully.  Before i could registered what just happened she lost her balance and fell on the ground with thud.

I hurried towards her to help her but she fell unconscious. I removed hair from her face to look out for any possible injuries, because she bumped into my chest very badly.

My heart sank when I saw her clear face. She was pranvi, the same girl who occupied my mind since last night.

I sat on the ground and taking her head into my lap, I tried to wake her up.

When she didn't show any movement, I got worried.

Lifting her into my arms, I took her to the medical room but no one was present there.

Taking the water bottle, I sprinkled some drops on her face.

She squeezed her eyes before opening them and looked around.

"Why I'm still in the bed, oh shit ; I'm late on my first day" she muttered to herself and was trying to get up, but I held her hand to stop her.

She looked at my hand first and then at me.

Her eyes widened and mouth wide opened. Minute passed but She remained in the same state, staring at me with her mouth opened.

"Pranvi" I said softly to brought her back into her senses.

"Malhaar" she wishpered, still was staring at me.

The way she called my name, it made my heart skips a beat, same as last night when she first time called me Malhaar.

I smiled looking at her, it's just that i didn't need to think how to react with her, it happens on its own. I have this feeling that I know her. May be.

When i saw her first, She was going towards the library which was reserved for royals. So I asked her to stop but myself forgot to stop and I kept walking till I reached exactly behind her.

The way she was staring straight into my eyes after our little conversation, I just wanted to hold the moment and never end it.

Then I got to know that she was new student, so I just helped her. "Are you sure, it was just help and wasn't the Excuse to spend more time with her" my inner thoughts interruptes me.

On our way when she left behind and I turned around to look at her and our eyes locked with each other, Maintaining the eye contact I started walking towards her. 
As i said my body reacts on its own around her, i stopped when i was exactly infront of her.

The smile made its way to my lips. Closing my eyes I took a step back.

"What is this feeling unknown yet familiar; familiar enough to make me smile, to make me lost in her eyes, to make me feel the things I never felt in my life" I thought and inhaling a deep breath I opened my eyes.

Shrugging my thoughts off, I said " Let's go" but it sounded little harsh but I didn't intent it.

I kept my pace slow to match her steps so we can walk side by side.

When we entered she looked confused, so I asked her but her words were more confusing.

I had this urge to know her name so I just asked her name but what her answer surprised me.

And then when we were having our dinner, I couldn't control myself to not looked at her, my whole focuse was on her.

I already had my dinner but what's the harm in eating another time, you should never says no to the food
"To the food or to her" my inner thoughts interrupts me again.

I asked her name again and this time she replied.

"Pranvi" I whispered, it was little louder than I intened it to be.

She snapped her head towards me may be she heard that.

But when she took my name, I feel something in my stomach and I just smiled and nodded.

She tried to talk more but I got a call from dadi and I remembered that why was I came to campus, I had to go now, so I just asked her if she can go by herself, she nodded so I just left from there.

"Sir, you are here?" I came out of my thoughts when I heard doctor's voice.

I looked at pranvi, her gaze lowered, I looked where her gaze was, that's when I realised I was still holding her hand.

I looked up and she also looked up, our gaze collided, it became awkward all of sudden. I left her hand, not wanting to make things more awkward for her.

"Where were you ?" I asked the doctor, turning towards him.

"There was a seminar for safety issues, and we were strictly instructed to attend it" he replied politely.

"Okay, we will talk later about this, you can go now" I replied trying not to burst at him infront of pranvi.

He nodded and left from the room.

"How are you feeling now?" I asked, to make things normal.

"Umm.. good" she replied looking down at her lap.

"Sure? There is no discomfort or pain?" I asked, not convinced with her answer.

" A little headache, it will be fine in sometimes" she replied with nod still avoid looking at me.

" Take a rest for sometime, and tell me if you need anything " I said, sensing she was still not completely fine.

"Umm.. I need to go, my class, I can't miss it, it's my first day and seems like i already miss my first lecture" she said sadly, looking at me.

Why was she looks sad because of the class or pain. May be because of the pain, I nodded at my thoughts.

" But you still looks sad, I mean not completely fine just take rest for some times then you can go" I said sensing her sadness because of the pain.

"What.... " she screamed.

"What happened" I asked, worried about her health.
