Third Person's POV:
As the flames subsided, the once-vibrant village now lay in ruins, reduced to cinders and ash. The tragic aftermath revealed a grim scene, with corpses strewn about, their bodies charred by the fire. Alicia walked through the ravaged village, her eyes scanning the devastation in search of any sign of Qais.
She wants to see her, even as a dead.
"Qais!!"
Alicia halted in her tracks as her eyes fell upon a familiar sight—the cross necklace she had given to Qais. Her heart lurched as she approached it, grabbing it tightly, clenching it like a lifeline. In that moment, the necklace felt like the solitary living remnant amidst the burnt village,
"Oh God, how did this happened?"
A deep, guttural sob escaped Alicia's lips as she sank to her knees, her tears falling onto the scorched earth. The weight of her grief surged through her, the pain constricting her chest. She felt the crushing guilt of not havingto saved people, and the agony of not being able to save the child she had rescued.
"Please... Please forgive me..."

12 years later,
Things didn't change much, but it was the era where violence became even more aggressive and continues to spread rapidly like wildfire in the forest. Devouring every tree it sees and touch. The air became too polluted to breath in, as it was mixed with blood and cruelty.
The innocent was killed, the people was slaughtered, and they have forgotten to serve God as they was busy and too focused saving themselves... Their sins was scattered across the lands, and no one will save them.
But not Alicia as she survived. She is now a Thirty year-old woman, no lover, living a peaceful and humble life in the Ashen village. She stayed true and genuine to her faith, she spread the word of God, and she is not afraid despite the threat of the opposing beliefs and religions that would totally go against her.
Over the years, Alicia had observed a tragic and disheartening reality unfolding before her eyes. Those who identified with different religions—namely Catholics, Christians, Orthodox adherents, and Jews—had become targets of extreme violence and bloodshed solely for their beliefs.
It did frightened her, but it did not make her faith falter.
