Everything changes for Desi once she transfers from UConn to Iowa to help out their women's basketball team. She finds herself falling for two different girls at each university. (A Caitlin Clark, Nika Muhl and Paige Bueckers story.)
It was Thursday 5:30am. I had decided that I would fly to Connecticut today so that I could spend two extra days with my girls before me and Lily flew to Virginia. Caitlin insisted on driving me to the airport. She had been staying over at my place since I came back from the Prada fashion show in California. I didn't mind it, I loved sleeping underneath her warm body every night. We had spent every night cuddling and binge watching Netflix Reality shows. I was going to miss it for the next week. We drove to the airport listening to Taylor Swift with her hand resting on my thigh.
Although I am going to miss my Iowa girls, I am so excited to see my UConn fam. I miss them a lot and it's barely even been two months.
"I'm really going to miss you." The brunette turned down the volume of the radio that was playing 'Don't blame me' by Taylor Swift.
I turn my head from the window to look at her. "It's only for a week." I let out a small laugh.
"I know." She softly hit the brakes at the red light before focusing her attention to me. "But I've gotten so used to sleeping with you, in Our bed." Jada, Gabbie and Kate would tease us and call my apartment, mine and Caitlin's apartment since she was always there.
"I know." I placed my hand on top of hers that was still on my thigh. "I'm going to miss our snuggles." She leaned in to give me a kiss before pulling off from the now green light. Once we arrived at the airport, Caitlin helped me get my bags from the trunk before giving me another long hug goodbye.
"Have fun baby." She whispered into my ear which made me feel weak in my knees. "Please don't do anything I wouldn't do." She pulled her head away from me to make eye contact, her thumbs brushed up against the back of my hands. I know she was referring to me and Paige's relationship.
No promises...
As sweet and attractive Caitlin is, I couldn't wait to get back to Nika and see what her deal was. I pressed my lips together as I looked up into Caitlin's eyes. "Okay." I give her a nod.
"Promise me?"
Oh shit.
I continue to look at her. I really hate breaking promises, I felt her hands let go of mine as I watched her face turn sad. "I promise." I give her a nervous smile feeling bad, and her face lights back up.
"That's my girl." She placed her hand on the back of my head and pulled me in forward giving me a kiss on the forehead.
"Here." I reached in my pocket and handed her the key to my apartment... I mean our apartment. "No parties while I'm away." I joked. She gave me another smile before taking the keys.
"Let me know when you land safely."
"I will." I gave her one more smile before making my way inside the airport.

My flight landed at 1:57pm. Paige and Lily were parked out front once I exited the doors.
"OH MY GOD." Lily jumped out the car giving me the most dramatic hug. I understand her excitement this is the longest we've gone in three years without seeing each other. Lily wasn't as close with her family so every break she came home with me. She was like my adopted sister.
"Hey Lils." I give I hug her back as she picked me up.
"You have no idea how lonely I have been since you left." She put me down and we got in the car. This time she got in the back seat allowing me to ride up front with Paige.
"Yeah right." Paige joined in. "Her and KK are practically inseparable now, it's the worst thing ever. They are menaces to society and should be locked away. She looked at me with a smile. "Hey pretty lady." She leaned in giving me a long tight hug.
"Hi P." I hugged her back tightly, I have missed the blonde heavy since being gone and I'm so glad to see her right now.
"Here." She pulled out of the hug and reached in the back seat. Her hand came back with a bouquet of roses.
"Paige." I grab them from her. "You're too sweet." I lean in to give her a peck on her jaw and I watch as her cheeks turn pink. "Thank you."
"Aw mom and dad." Lily teased us both.
"Let's go home." The blonde put the car in drive before driving off from the airport. Her hand rested on my thigh as we listened to PARTYNEXTDOOR.
