14: Captured

Reiwa woke up, feeling disoriented. He tried to stand up, but he found he was in chains. He tried to pull free of them, but they didn't break. He sighed, and saw the other Gamera's were there as well, already up. Toto grinned. "Still sleepy, I see." Reiwa grumbled, but smiled at Toto. Showa looked around, asking, "What is this place?"

There was a harsh laughter, and the Gamera's turned to the source. It was a Lizard kaiju, large sharp spines along his back, rather small arms that had spiked elbows, and a thick swooshing tail. His muddy golden eyes scanned them, the Gamera's recognizing the evil in this kaiju's face. The kaiju snarled. "This is the rift between universes, where you shall become my slaves."

Heisei tried to lunge at the kaiju, but the chains held him. He tried to shoot a plasma blast, but it died out before it could be useful. Rebirth noticed this, grumbling. "Great, these chains take our powers, I'm guessing." The kaiju smirked. "What a smart Gamera. And yes, they take your power. Wouldn't want you to escape and try killing me after all."

Toto piped up, "Who even are you?" The kaiju chuckled, spreading his arms. "I am the greatest kaiju you'll ever face! For I am Godzilla, Minus One!" The Gamera's stared at him. Showa said, "Isn't that just English for Gojira, which if I'm not mistaken, means 'Gorilla Whale'?" Toto fell over laughing, the others chuckling softly. Godzilla -1 growled in anger, letting loose a roar that boomed through the chamber, shutting the Gamera's up. 

Godzilla -1 stood straight, smirking. "You'll learn to respect me soon enough. Mecha! Come here, my servant." Mecha Gamera came into the chamber then, the claw marks and scorched metal plates evidence of his battle with Reiwa, who growled at the site of him. Mecha smirked at him, then went to kneel to Godzilla -1. Godzilla -1 sneered. "Is your little side project ready?" Mecha nodded, and Godzilla -1 grinned, his teeth glinting.

Mecha then produced five small circular mechanisms, which had a red light on them. He went around, planting one at the base of each Gamera's head. They growled, but couldn't raise their arms to pluck the things off. When Mecha was done, he stood beside -1, who was dwarfed next to the mech. Godzilla -1 waved his hand, saying, "You may leave now, Mecha." Mecha didn't question this, but as he was leaving, he touched a wall, placing a transmitter there to listen in on whatever Godzilla -1 said. 

Godzilla -1 watched the Gamera's, enjoying this moment. Soon, he'd have all the glory for destroying the Gamera's! And using their power, he could return to his world, and be the most powerful monster alive. The Gamera's glared at him as he clasped his hands and walked back and forth in front of them.

"Perhaps you are wondering why I want to destroy you all?" Showa rolled his eyes. "Because you hate us?" Godzilla -1 rolled his eyes. "Obviously, but you see, I have my own Multiverse. One where I am one of the weakest, and most power hungry incarnations. But using your Mana, I will increase in strength tremendously! Feasting on the remnants of your worlds!" 

Reiwa asked, "What do you mean, remnants?" -1 grinned. "You see, you Gamera's are anchor beings. When you die, the fabric of your world unravels, and everything, including your kaiju, are lost to the void. Once I'm done, I will return to my multiverse and destroy that too, until there is nothing but my own world!" Then he dramatically stalked out of the room, walking to Mecha Gamera.

"Activate those mind control devices!" Mecha nodded, clicking something on his wrist.

The Gamera's writhed in sudden pain, as hundreds of commands went into their brain, rewriting them. They tried to fight it for a little while, but in a few minutes, their vision went dark. When their vision returned, they growled and tried lunging at each other. They hated other Gamera's suddenly, and were desperately trying to tear each other apart.

Mecha nodded to -1. "The devices work." -1 grinned. "Good! Tell them to calm down, and follow you. We will watch as they tear each other apart!" As -1 walked away, Mecha stared into his back. He'd heard everything he'd said to the Gamera's, and now was doubting if he wanted to serve him. 'Maybe I am fighting on the wrong side.' Mecha thought for the first time since he'd called Godzilla -1 master.

He sighed, and called the Gamera's. They came from the entryway, glaring at each other. '-1 must have already unchained them.' They stared at him blankly, and he turned, commanding them to come. They moved in unison, following their new master.
