Pep Talk and Lance

Aright!! Now this is chapter dos!(2) and well I'm not gonna say much other than I hope you enjoy the story:D

"Hey mom dad, uh Lance is here." Ash said not really knowing how else to put it. They haven't seen him since the last day of summer camp at Oaks and that was 10 years ago, they have kept in touch and it was only by letters since his boarding school didn't let them have phones.

"Oh... hey Lance... we uh... we thought you were at that fancy boarding school in Sinnoh." Red said as he stuttered at the beginning trying to find out the right words with a confused face.

"Yeah, good to see you too uncle." Lance said with sass in his voice

Now this brought everyone's attention, Lance was usually the shy and quite type. Now he basically felt like he could say what he wanted to without being punished for it. There was a second of silence before Lance realized what he said.

"Oh uh, sorry uncle Red, its just that at the boarding school you end up meeting alot of, well jerks and sometimes you have to say something quick so they stop harassing you." Said Lance with a look of hope that he accepts his apology.

"Ahh don't sweat it kid, I know from experience that you have to act a certain way in order to get by. Although if I hear you do that again to me, your sleeping outside." Red said with a friendly smile.

"So, Lance" Delia said with wonder in her voice. "Why aren't you in boarding school we thought your parents were going to keep you there till 18?" Questioning the fact that her sister is never the one to change plans without a good reason.

"And that's why I got the note for, she said to not open it till I got here, and now that I'm here..." Lance quickly got the letter and opened it with anticipation. "You want me to read it?" Lance looked at everyone at the table with a face that said 'Can I please?'

"No" Red said as he took the note away from Lances grasp"It looks like your mother wants me and Delia to read it, not you." Red said as he sat back down next to Delia and they both started reading the note.

"Well, I think I'm going to go to a hotel since this looks like family business, and I'm not really part of this family." Alexa said with a small grin on her face.

"Nonsense Alexa, we have a guest bedroom you can sleep im there for the night." Delia said just before she got back to her reading

"Alright, well I guess I'm going to sleep then *yawn* it's getting late and you all should catch up." Alexa said as she got up and walked down to the guest bedroom.

"Yes it is actually getting pretty late and I have to do a little more things back at the lab, well Ash I hope to see you back at the lab tomorrow so you can start your training, Lance I hope to see you there too, Red, Delia goodnight." Professor Oak said as he got up and walked out the door.

"So what does the note say?" Lance said really wanting to find out what his parents wrote in the letter.

""Well, it says that they weren't going to be able to finish paying off all the money in the account so they said that since Ash is still traveling to just tag along." Delia said as she finished reading the letter.

"I thought mom and dad were stacked with money, and if they were running low, wouldn't they tell me about it?" Asked Lance wondering if they knew what was going on.

"Well, I think its a great idea!" Exclaimed Red "Lance I think it's a good idea to go with Ash, he doesn't have a guy companion to go on his trip to Kalos and I think its a good idea to have one that is at least a cousin."
