Old Friends

Welp, here's chapter 3 of this story of mine. Sorry it took a while, I had some minor writers block, and Wattpad would sometimes not even save what I wrote and I would get frustrated, oh well. Hope you all enjoy. :)

It has been four days since our hero's left the Town of Pallet, and they are reaching their next destination. They have past Viridian Forest with haste and managed to get through it with no trouble. Right now they are in Viridian City's Pokemon Center. Waking up from their slumber.

*yawns* "Ahh good morning Lance." Ash said as he woke up refreshed from a good night sleep.

"Hey, keep it down, trying to sleep." Lance said not to thrilled of the idea of getting out of a comfortable bed.

In Lance's defense, he hasn't slept in a bed for quite sometime. Once he left the boarding school, he traveled four days from the school to the Pokemon Center, to the nearest dock to get on a ferry to Kanto. From the dock in Kanto, another two weeks, then to Ash's "comfortable" floor, to the four days to get to this bed.

"Oh come on lighten up, besides it's 9:30, we should get some breakfast and then get going." Ash responded to his cousins laziness.

"Alright fine, I'm up! I didn't even want to sleep, because who needs sleep not this guy!" Lance sarcastically retorted while getting up.

After the awakening they went down to the lobby to go get breakfast. Ash being the hugry teen that he is, got a stack of pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast,sausages, and a glass of orange juice.

"Hehe, wow Ash you sure can pack it in huh?" Lance sheepishly asked.

He decided to go with a lighter meal and a cup of coffee. After breakfast they headed out after 30 minutes of casual conversation Lance asked a question.

"Hey Ash, wouldn't it be easier if we just flew over to where we are going?"

"Yeah, but I don't want to strain my Pidgeot ya know."

"Wait. What makes you think I don't have Pokemon?" Lance asked wondering why his cousin would think that. They live I a world of POKEMON!!! anyone would take at least one.

"Well, you never mentioned them, and I have yet to see one." Ash said as he had a look of triumph.

"Alright fair point. Although I have taken them out, just not when you and Pikachu are around. Not that I have anything agenst you guys, its just that you guys aren't around."

"Alright, lets see them." Ash said, he was curious to see what team Lance had.

"Come on out gang!" Lance said as he got six Pokeballs and threw them in the sky. Shortly after all of his Pokemon came out and the beam of lights started to take shapes.

Ash was impressed, Lance had a well balanced team. There was a Staraptor, Metang, Infernape, Walren, Joltick, and Flygon.

"Wow, impressive." Ash said with a surprised expression, truthfully he thought Lance wouldn't have a well rounded team.

"Where did you get them only three are originally from Shinnoh the rest are from other regions."

"Well at the boarding school they have a convention once a year with other top schools at other regions and we have the option to trade some of our Pokemon and that's what I did."

"What were the conventions about?"

"I don't really know, I just showed up to get girls numbers, and failed. Miserably..." Lance said with a face of defeat and shame.
