"You're pestering me about making it on the airship but I'm sure you know I'd make it there faster if you weren't nagging me," Rajani Goodwitch told his 'mother', Glynda Goodwitch, as he looked down at the scroll in his hand

"You're pestering me about making it on the airship but I'm sure you know I'd make it there faster if you weren't nagging me," Rajani Goodwitch told his 'mother', Glynda Goodwitch, as he looked down at the scroll in his hand. "I know where I'm going and I know what to do. Vale's Airship doesn't leave for another 30 minutes and I'm almost there." Rajani stated coldly to Glynda.

Rajani was a teenager with spiky black hair bearing red streaks that glowed when he activated his "Semblance", Justice or Vengeance. He had blood-red eyes, sharp teeth, and tan skin donning red markings. He wore something akin to a blue Air Force flight suit with leather straps to carry custom-made Mauser C96 "Broom Handle" pistols. Around his wrists were silver bracelets donning glowing red cracks and slots similar to his golden bracelets. On his feet, he wore Air Shoes which were red and white shoes that allowed him to levitate in the air and essentially fly.

"Is that so," The feminine voice replied from the scroll. She sighed and said, "I don't mean to bug you, Rajani. Just like it's your first time seeing Vale and everything it has to offer, this is a first for me too-I never had to take care of someone else before. I want to make sure you're okay." Glynda's tone may have been stern but it was gentle too. She sympathized with Rajani's horrid life and wanted to be there for him.

Rajani scoffed lightly, looking around at Vale's architecture. "You're only my forged mother. You don't have to take care of me, and I don't need you to take care of me..." Rajani claimed and earned silence from the woman. "I'll see you when I get to Beacon." He said coldly before ending the call, silently continuing his walk to the docks to catch Vale's Airship.

Glynda Goodwitch sighed softly while placing the scroll in her pocket

Glynda Goodwitch sighed softly while placing the scroll in her pocket. "That boy...is something else. Why did you leave him with me, Ozpin? Don't you think he would be better off with someone else? Why not Oobleck? Or Port?"

"Because he took a liking to you. He's not showing it but he feels the most comfort around you," Ozpin explained while sipping the hot chocolate from his mug and glancing out the window behind his desk. "Rajani has lived the life of a monstrosity. His life has been fueled by pain and suffering...and all this happened because he decided to trust someone he cared about. I'm certain he likes you, but he's hesitant to trust anyone. He's trying to protect himself from being hurt. I don't think he would have answered the calls if he didn't like you. He most certainly ignores mine." Ozpin joked near the end, returning his eyes to Glynda who looked down slightly as she lifted a file with Rajani's face on it.
