Garroth was pacing back and forth as well as Laurence. Aphmau was sitting on a chair, tapping her foot impatiently.

“It doesn't make sense. Why? Out of all people?  HER?” Garroth said, turning towards Aphmau.

“I trust her. And I told you guys that she also did her declaration.” Aphmau responded, crossing her arms.

“Declaration or not. I still don't trust her. What if this is all part of Zanes plan??” Laurance added on, rubbing his chin.

“For Irene's sake, just trust me on this.” Aphmau stood up upset and walked to the kitchen counter. Zoey was currently making some tea, humming.

“If it helps you boys, elves can sense honesty. It's one of our abilities like our immortality.  When Aphmau mentioned her recruitment, I didn't sense any bad intentions from it.” Zoey said, smiling.

“W-well what if it's because Aphmau said it and not Katelyn?” Garroth said, trying to prove a point.

Zoey narrowed her eyes and stared at him, offended. Garroth saw her sudden change, then he apologized.

"Listen. What if we invite her over for dinner? Maybe we could get to know her?” Zoey suggested, turning around.

“I don't know. I don't think her crew knows that she doesn't want to work for Zane now. It might be risky.” Aphmau  commented, looking at the ship.

“Well what if you say its lord matters? Like a change of plans that will affect her stay?” Zoey suggested once more.

Garroth and laurance stayed quiet. It was noticeable that they still didn't want to have her around in any form. Aphmau sighed and walked towards the door, without a word being said.

“Where are you going?” Laurence asked.

“To summon her duh.” Aphmau responded bluntly, taking the door knob.

“Wait up! We want to go too!” Garroth said, slowly walking up to her.

Aphmau throws her hand towards him and stops his movements. “No. You are to stay here! I will be doing this alone.”

“What?? You can't walk around without a guard!” Garroth protested.

“I'm a grown woman. I can walk wherever I want.” Aphmau grinned and walked outside. Leaving the two guards alone.

As she closed the door she found Katelyn already walking with two of her guards towards her steps. They were holding four boxes; they seemed well wrapped and presentable. Aphmau stared for a moment, confused yet curious.

“Lord Aphmau. I'm glad I ran into you, I have a gift for you and your guards.” Katelyn said, beginning to walk up the steps.

“A gift? For what?” Aphmau asked, confused.

“For letting me stay here for so long. The ones my guards have are for your personal guards, this one's for you.” Katelyn hands her one of the boxes, while the two guards walk past them to head to her house.

“What's inside?” She asked, looking down at it.

“A gift for a beautiful woman, that's all.” Katelyn responded, smiling innocently.

Aphmau stayed silent for a second before giggling. She closed her eyes at that moment as she laughed, showing genuine happiness. This made Katelyns cheeks turn red slightly, not expecting an adorable giggle.
