Elizabeth's mouth let out the compressed sigh. "have you... how was your day, Vincent?" she almost whispered, as if another loud voice will shatter her away. He adjusted the notebook under his arm, the pen slid back on his breast-pocket. "It kept me productive." she pressed her lips, internally bleeding of awkwardness.

She nodded softly, wanting to avoid any awkwardness between them. "That's nice." Her pink lips painted a smile. Vincent let out a silent exhale, suppressed of his unreciprocated feelings. He closed his notebook shut and slide his eyeglasses back in place to gaze her eyes.

"Elizabeth..." She raised her head to look at him from her seat. Vincent found each ounce of his confidence shifting to the edge.

They had not exchanged any words yet he knew just how she felt, in this spacey, empty lab. ————————————————————————————————————————

A house full of bright children void of laughter. The grass is greener on the other side of the wall. Ray surely thought Emma's ideologies were infuriatingly optimistic. He felt oppressed under her ambitious plans. The boy's fingers tightened around the book as he stared down at the children playing with Emma.

"when will that idiot grow up..." was all Ray could murmur as he thought of their peacemaker, Norman. The black haired boy clenched his jaw in all annoyance towards his mother. His mother had devoured every bite of merriment with satisfaction. A lone pillar standing with a strength of just her memories.

"Aren't you the eldest one here?" Interrupted a ringing unintentional guest. Ray turned from the window, met with the darkened eyes of Sister Krone. The boy frowned his eyebrows albeit faintly as to not unmask his real emotions.

He faced his mother's assistant. "Yeah...Do you need something?" Krone's smile grew with each passing minute. Ray thought that she might've taken special training on how to torture kids. With the flow of intensity, she forwarded her hand.

Ray looked at her hand in a skeptical manner. The years of skepticism had made him lose all faith in humanity. "What?" He remarked in a rather blunt tone. The woman nudged her hand closer to him.

"I don't think you want to miss this opportunity, Ray."

The empty lab was occupied with sounds of liquid water as it buoyed up the lifeless body. The man stood in his loafers as he examined the container. His concentration was broken by the steps of Vincent. He came and deliberately stood a step behind the man in respect.

The man in white turned to his assistant. "Boss." He hummed in response.

"Any reports?" The height difference between the two had caused the man look up, almost innocently like a boy. Vincent gazed down at his boss, he could still see the lingering innocence of him. The years of harsh treatments had stolen the boy's childhood.

He flipped through his mini book. "Yes, several. Most importantly..." Vincent went quiet as he searched for the page. "I have found two people in the room who are alive."
