Back at the den of the Western pack, you can see wolves scavenging around looking for something to eat. As we got closer, we can see the female alpha, Kate and Y/n's mother Eve, looking down at the pack till she notice Winston, Kate and Y/n coming back from our hunt.

However, upon noticing a frown, Winston explains what has transpired at the hunt and how the omegas were there to help break up the fight. With that, she happily went in the cave to check up on her children.

Y/n POV

Noticing mom coming, I sat up straight as she does not like us slouching. Upon entering, she noticed that Lily was playing with her tail trying to distract us about what has happen early on today. "Lilly, stop playing with your tail.... Kate your slouching, Y/n good posture. Do you girls know what I see when looking at you... two beautiful strong alphas." said mom.

Lily took one sniff at the food and gagged, making me feel even worse than I did before. "Any food dear is a blessing" says mom as she stomps on a fly.

Calling out to dad, only to yell out "now," he talk about how what we have is not we deserve to eat. "Not for my pack" he says.

"Sorry dad... its just those eastern wolves" says Kate

"If they didn't come, we could have at least gotten one caribou for everyone" I said.

Dad then replied "its not your girls fault.. when they crossed pack land, then that means they broke pack law."

However, we were soon interrupted when dad got called out about what has happen to Can-do. After looking over Can-do's injuries, mom took action and sent him into the cave while tell dad "whoever is responsible, lets rip off their tail and shove it down their throat."

Overhearing dad to put the alphas on high alert and then notice it has already been done, I notice that he was leaving and Kate was about to follow. Looking around my surroundings, making sure no one follows, I quietly follow both Kate and dad to where they are headed.

I was quick to notice that dad seems to call out to the alpha of the eastern wolves pack. Quickly hiding behind some rock to give me cover, noticing Kate peaking over within two bushes not being far front away from me, we could hear what they were talking about.

" Winston... your crazy wolf. What  a way to greet an old friend" Tony says as he just about to cross the river. As he crosses the river, both Tony and dad start to circle each other as they talk.

"Tony, you are the crazy wolf alright."  he says neutrally.

"Oh yeah" replied Tony sarcastically.

"Yeah.... like that surprise group hunt earlier today. Let leave the playing for the omegas." Dad replied carefully low.

As Tony was about to reply, I noticed Kate moving further up to hear better while I remained still as to not give away my position.

"You know damn well there is no caribou left in the east Winston" replied Tony Angrily. "That's not my packs problem" dad replied monotone. "Unite the packs Winston. It was you who gave the big speech that between Kate or Y/n would marry Garth and Unite the packs" Tony stated knowingly.

"Garth know his role, his place and his responsibilities. Does any of your daughters know" Tony mockingly said.

Dad takes a moment to stop himself from snarling at Tony. "Don't worry... Kate knows." replied my father. "What, but what about all of my hard work, my training and my position in the pack. What does this means for me" I thought to myself.

I was almost lost within my self doubt that I almost missed the last words Leader of the Eastern wolves.

"Good, then Kate and Garth can meet tonight at the midnight howl" Tony replied. As he was walking back to side side of the valley, he replied threateningly "I won't let me pack starve Winston. If we have to.... We'll fight for the valley" while stepping on a flower before leaving.

Noticing that he left, I got out of my hiding spot and quickly, without making much of a sound, went to my father as he mutters to himself. I notice Kate had the same idea as me and startled our father. While Kate answered our father that everything was okay and it was her responsibility, they then notice me through the bushes.

"Y/n, what are you doing here" replied Kate as I notice dad refused to look at me in the eye.

"Back at you sis, wondering where dad was going and notice you following him so I followed you" I said.

Dad looked shocked and then mournfully said "so, you heard what happened" I took a moment to reply, but decided to give my somewhat honest response. "I did, and I'm happy Kate will be leading the pack. I know the decision couldn't have been easy."

They both looked shocked at my answer, then after an semi-awkward moment, I decided to let them know about going up ahead to see if there is anything I can do to prepare and just left without hearing a response back.

It took a while, but happen to reach a small pond not too far from the pack but not close enough where they can see me. I let myself cry just enough to not alert anyone, think about my new position as an omega.

After a while to myself, I notice I had to head back to get ready to tag along for the midnight howl. Preparing myself mentally and emotionally, I start to come to terms that maybe, just maybe, being an omega might not be that bad.
