Chapter 3

Aircraft #NL-004

10:22 AM

Althea clings to the now-open hatch, her grip faltering as the aircraft spirals downward.

Althea
"Damn it... Was that a ship? How the hell did it get all the way up here?"

She mutters, glancing inside the cabin, where Seffrey is struggling against the chaos.

Althea (thoughts)
"At this rate, we'll crash before we even know it. I have to do something."

Her eyes dart across the cabin and land on something in the distance-parachutes.

The section of the hatch where she's holding on creaks ominously, signaling that it could give way at any moment.

Althea braces herself, timing her move perfectly. Just as the metal gives out beneath her, she uses the aircraft's downward spiral to propel herself into the cabin.

Without wasting a second, she rushes to the parachutes. She snatches them up and hurries to Seffrey, who is tending to the two unconscious girls.

Althea
"Are you okay?"

Seffrey, visibly shaking but hanging on, responds.

Seffrey
"I'm all right, just... what was that?"

Althea
"I'm not sure. Here, put this on."

Seffrey does as instructed while Althea swiftly straps the other two girls with parachutes.

Althea
"Where are the others?"

Seffrey
"I don't know-ugh-everything happened too fast."

Althea
"Stay here and take care of them for a moment."

Seffrey nods.

As the aircraft draws closer to the ground, Althea moves swiftly toward the inner section of the cabin.

Meanwhile...

Jhan
"Arghhh... One more!"

Jhan struggles to move the last piece of debris pinning Avery, but it's jammed tight.

Nad
"It's no use. The metal's jammed pretty good, there's no time"

Jhan keeps trying, Avery remains unconscious beneath the wreckage.

Nad catches a glimpse outside through a broken section of the aircraft, then shouts back to Jhan.

Nad
"Hey!!!... Hey!!!..."

He yells, finally getting Jhan's attention.

Nad
"We go now, or we also die here!"

Jhan ignores Nad. He keeps straining against the impossible weight.

Then.

Jhan's heartbeat quickens, adrenaline surging through him. Veins bulge as Jhan's strength somehow increases. The massive metal starts to shift, inch by inch.

Nad, stunned by what he is witnessing at the moment , snaps to realization and quickly grabs Avery and pulls her free.

Jhan also realizes the what he had just done. He locks eyes with Nad.

They both look at each other for a second.

Nad
"You..."

Suddenly, Althea comes into view.

Althea
"Hey!!"

She rushes over, takes a look at Avery, and instructs Jhan and Nad to strap on parachutes.
