"Tell me, your Highness, have you thought about marriage yet?" It came from one of the noble lords accompanying the crown prince, their voices blending with the rustle of leaves and the murmur of brooks. The inquiry grated upon the prince's senses, for it was a reminder of the expectations placed upon him, the pressures of duty.

With practiced grace, the Crown Prince masked his inner turmoil behind a facade of charm, offering the noble lord a smile, "Not yet, my Lord."

Their hunt for the elusive wild boar progressed. Though they managed to secure some rabbits, the prince's gaze remained fixed upon the prize that eluded them. It was then that fate intervened, in the form of a figure emerging from the depths of the forest.

A man of rugged charm and untamed spirit, Sukuna. With a wild boar slung over his shoulder and a kiseru dangling from his lips, he strode forth with the confidence of one who knew the land as intimately as the beating of his own heart.

"Sukuna!" The Crown Prince's voice rang out, cutting through the tranquil air. His steps quickened, his gaze locked upon the boar.

Sukuna turned, his eyes alight with amusement as he regarded the prince with a knowing smirk.

"A crown prince? Empty handed in a hunt? Such a shame!" He remarked with a tone that danced between mockery and amusement. The very sound of his voice seemed to stir an irksome urge within the prince.

"I want that boar!" The crown prince's declaration cut through the tension like a blade, his tone shifting from frustration to authoritative command in an instant.

"Do you now?" His smirk widened.

"Just tell me the price, will you?"

"Beg," came Sukuna's audacious demand.

"Pardon me?"

"You heard me," Sukuna reaffirmed, his stance unyielding.

The prince recoiled at the notion, his pride wounded by the very suggestion of such submission. "Princes don't beg," he retorted.

"Perhaps they don't now. But they will someday. Anyways, about the price," He continued, seamlessly transitioning back to the matter at hand, his scarlet eyes locking onto the prince's own with an intensity that left no room for negotiation.

"Give me the slaves you bought from last week's mission," He stated plainly, his demand sending ripples of disbelief through the prince's mind. Surely, he had anticipated a more exorbitant price. Yet here he stood, dumbfounded by the simplicity of Sukuna's request.

"We have a deal then," the prince conceded, begrudgingly accepting the terms laid before him as he summoned one of his guards to carry the prize.

"The one who hunts should carry the hunted," Sukuna declared, his words taunting.

Reluctantly, the prince accepted, hoisting the weight of the boar upon his shoulders as Sukuna looked on with amusement, his sinister smile belying the depths of his cunning.

As the prince departed, burdened by the weight of his conquest, his gaze lingered upon him with a predatory gleam, his mind already moving on to the next stage of his intricate game.

"Uraume, change of plans. We're going back to the brothel sooner than expected," He announced, his voice carrying a sense of anticipation as he prepared to play his game.

Deep in the water, Subuhi hummed the same tune again and again, the melody a solitary companion to her thoughts. The scarlet eyes, vivid in her mind, refused to fade. She had never had the chance to thank the man who saved her from the boar. Any gesture of gratitude risked exposure, a peril she could ill afford. And that is why she fled.
