Y/N's heart rate increased, as the imposing figure walked closer and closer.
The tall man's stride was slow and deliberate, his eyes fixed on Y/N.
He was wearing casual clothes one's a man working on the fields would be, his hat was turned up to obscure his face partially.
As he approached, he only a few feet away from the group, his hands shoved into his pockets.
Y/N studied the man's face; it was stern, with a hint of a five o'clock shadow.
As the imposing figure got closer, Y/N's heart raced. She could now make out more details, including his muscular frame and intense gaze.
Despite the feeling of uneasiness that had enveloped her moments before, Y/N felt a protective instinct kick in. She stood up straighter, ready to defend Eri and Shinso if necessary.
The man made his way towards the trio, his steps deliberate and powerful.
When Y/N heard Eri's excited yell of "daddy," she felt a sense of relief wash over her.
The imposing figure was, in fact, the two siblings father, and now it seemed a lot less dangerous that he had appeared initially.
As he reached the group, Eri ran to him and gave him a big hug.
Her father, who Y/N now knew as Aizawa, lifted Eri into his arms and held her close.
Y/N watched the sweet interaction, feeling a sense of comfort and normality return to the situation.
The mood turned serious as Aizawa posed his questions.
His stern gaze focused on Shinso, waiting for an explanation about who Y/N was and why they were around a stranger.
Shinso spoke up, attempting to alleviate any concern. "Eri fall and scraped up her leg. Y/N found us and she helped me and Eri. I can vouch for her."
Aizawa's eyes narrowed as he scrutinised Y/N, not fully convinced by Shinso's words.
His protective instincts as a parent flared up, making him wary of any outsider presence, no matter how trustworthy they might seem.
The tension between the group was palpable.
Aizawa's distrust of strangers was evident, and the thought of keeping his family's dynamic intimate loomed over the conversation. Meanwhile, Y/N waited, uncertain of what the next few moments would hold.
Aizawa's stern expression shifted into a slightly kinder one.
He could appreciate that Y/N had helped his children, which was a good deed worth acknowledging.
However, beneath his polite exterior, Aizawa harboured impure intentions.
Despite his feigned kindness, he kept his guard up, not fully ready to trust an outsider fully.
His mind worked furiously, considering the possible advantages of keeping Y/N nearby while still remaining cautious.
In the back of Aizawa's mind, he was calculating the benefits of having Y/N around.
She might serve as a much-needed addition to the family's diet, as the lack of outside victims had made their meals less than desirable lately.
Aizawa's gaze softened and he maintained his facade of politeness, carefully balancing his hidden motives behind a veneer of gratitude and interest.
He spoke, keeping his tone mild and pleasant. "Thank you for helping Eri. I appreciate it."
Y/N appreciated Aizawa's thanking her, still unaware of the family's more unsettling aspects. She responded with a polite nod and a smile.
"It was no problem. I'm glad I could help Eri. She's a sweet kid." Y/N said.
Aizawa's invitation for dinner seemed innocent enough, but hidden underneath, his impure intentions flickered.
He wanted Y/N closer, and he would use any means to achieve that.
Despite Y/N's attempt to turn down the offer, Aizawa persisted, insisting that it was the least he could do to show his gratitude for helping Eri.
Eri's enthusiastic plea and Shinso's reluctant but firm persuasion made it difficult for Y/N to refuse the invitation.
The combined pressure was hard to resist.
Y/N relented, her resolve weakening in the face of Eri's innocent insistence and Shinso's quiet agreement.
"Alright," she conceded, not wanting to disappoint either of them.
As Y/N agreed to join the dinner, she was blissfully unaware of the darkness that lay beneath the family of four's facade.
She didn't know the full extent of their true nature and the secrets they kept from outsiders.
Y/N's decision to go along with their invitation was made in good faith, not knowing the danger she was walking into.
