LOUIS

I knew coming here was a good idea, yet it is definitely proven as I see the squeal Sylvie lets out as she sees the logo on the building.

Carette.

"I can't believe this", she says, rushing to me and wrapping her hands around my neck. As Dominick mentioned my 'request' yesterday, I almost feared he'll blurt out the surprise to Sylvie. I specifically asked my assistant to clear the whole morning for us, so that my girlfriend and I can enjoy a nice breakfast at her favourite café.

"Do you like it?", I ask her, although the question seems unnecessary. One can see it on her face that she likes it.

"If I like it? I love it", she almost shouts. She lifts herself up on her tiptoes to reach my mouth. "And I love you. Thank you, Louis."

"Anything my girl wants, my girl gets", I wink at her.

The way her cheeks blush at that looks damn adorable.

With a hand on her lower back, her hands still around my neck, we make our way to the entrance. I can see some people starting to whisper as they notice us together, yet it's then I remember I am here with Sylvie and this is like the whole point of this trip. Convince people we are a couple.

However, I am much more focused on making this trip a good one for Sylvie than convincing anyone anything.

If I love Sylvie, then it's my business. And everyone should better get used to it, because one day I'm gonna marry that girl.

"Bonjour", I begin in French, asking the waiter for our reservation. "J'ai une réservation sur le nom Grayson West." Always when I make reservations, I use my middle name and my Dad's surname. It takes people longer to realise who it is, meaning they won't have that much time to alert the press that I'm coming.

"Ah, ici vous êtes", the waiter finds my name on his huge book. Yet I'm quite sure that even if he wouldn't have found my name on his list, he'd still offer me a table. "Un table pour deux?"

"Exactement", I answer.

"Suivez-moi", the waiter tells us, making us a sign we should follow. He leads us to a nice table for two, and I thank him, helping Sylvie sit down by pulling the chair for her. She smiles at me thankfully, arranging her gorgeous yellow cocktail dress she chose for the day.

Yet she could be naked, and she would still be the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen.

I notice Dominick, Sylvie's PR guy George, and two of our bodyguards sit down at a table for four not far away. Yet I decide not to mind them and to focus on my girlfriend.

"I still can't believe we're here", Sylvie lets out, eyeing the menu. I already know what she's going to order though. Pain au chocolat, probably two because it's a happy day, and a coffee.

"I'm glad you like it, Trouble", I answer, smirking. I decide to go for a croissant, a pain au chocolat and one of their famous hot chocolates. The thick one they only sell in France.

"Your French is so hot", she adds, piercing heated at the menu.

"You think so?", I decide to joke. "Your mouth tastes so sweet though, it's really none of my credit."

"Louis", she hits me with her leg under the table.

I chuckle, taking her hand in mine and lifting it up to give it a kiss. "I'm just kidding, baby. Although it's true."

"I was actually talking about your language skills, but I'll take that as a compliment", she smirks now.

"You should", I agree with her. It's then I clear my throat as the waiter arrives. Sylvie is the first one to place her order, and I follow after her. As the waiter is gone, I decide to give her an actual answer: "Well, French is Cordelia's second official language. I've been learning it since I was like five."

"It's hot", she replies. "Next time you kiss me, do say something in French."

"Can I also kiss you French after that?", I suggest.

She nods, still smirking. "I would like that very much."

Our order comes soon after that, and after taking a few pictures probably to post on her Instagram account, Sylvie takes out one of her pain au chocolat, she did order exactly what I guessed, and takes a first bite. Her eyes close and she lets out a soft sound I can think of other ways to get the exact sound out of her.

I take a sip out of my hot chocolate to push the thoughts out of my mind.

"Just how I imagined it", Sylvie says, happily. She then reaches her hand with the pastry over the table, almost shoving it in my mouth. "Open up."

"You do realise I also ordered one?", I ask amused.

"How convenient, more for me", she replies, snatching the pain au chocolat from my basket. I would lie if I'd say I didn't order two croissants exactly knowing this scenario might happen. "Now open your mouth so that you can taste it and so that I won't feel bad that I stole the only pain au chocolat you had."

I can't help but laugh as I do as she asked me to and open my mouth. Sylvie pushes the pain au chocolat inside, and I try my best to take the smallest bite humanity ever achieved. I don't want to steal much of her favourite food.

"And?", she asks as she saw I was done with chewing and swallowing the food.

"I can see why you like it so much", I say. "It really is good."

"I know", she cheers, taking another bite. "But you need to tell me if you want your pain au chocolat back. It will be hard to split ways with it, but I would do it for you."

"That might just be the sweetest thing you've ever told me", I reply.

She leans over the table to reach my lips and plant a small kiss. She chuckles as she lets go though: "You taste like chocolate."

"And is that a good thing or a bad thing?", I can't tell from her tone.

"Well, depends how you see it. It makes me never want to stop kissing you."

"In that case, definitely a good thing", I pull her back to me and kiss her again.

And a smile brightens on my lips knowing that deep down, I can see my mornings starting like this. And wouldn't change anything.
