It was the middle of the afternoon, and the sun streamed through the hospital room windows, casting a warm glow. Jimin, looking slightly regretful, glanced at his watch. “Sorry, guys. I can’t stay for lunch. Got a meeting with some... less exciting folks. Enjoy your hospital feast without me,” he said with a wink, quickly excusing himself.

With Jimin gone, Y/N, Taehyung, Jennie, and Jungkook settled down on Jungkook's bed to share the lunch Taehyung had picked up earlier. As soon as Jennie opened her container, her face twisted into a look of horror. “What the heck is this, Taehyung?” she exclaimed, poking at a questionable-looking blob with her fork. “Is this supposed to be food, or did you raid the hospital’s garbage?”

Taehyung gave her a mock glare. “Hey! It’s a gourmet sandwich from the deli down the street. It’s got all the essentials—bread, something green, and… uh… mystery meat.”

Y/N took a bite of her own sandwich and tried not to laugh. “Jennie, I think it’s supposed to be roast beef. Or at least that’s what it claims to be. It’s a little… chewy, though.”

Jennie rolled her eyes dramatically. “Chewy? This stuff is like trying to bite into a tire. Did they forget to cook it, or is this just some avant-garde culinary experiment?”

Jungkook, sitting quietly next to them, finally took a tentative bite of his sandwich. He chewed slowly, a look of deep concentration on his face, before finally swallowing. “It’s… unique,” he offered diplomatically, clearly trying not to offend anyone.

Taehyung laughed, holding up his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright, I’ll admit it, maybe the deli isn’t exactly five-star cuisine. But hey, at least it’s not hospital cafeteria food, right?”

Jennie snorted, tossing her sandwich back into its container with a dramatic flair. “Honestly, Taehyung, I think the cafeteria might have been an upgrade. At least there, I could identify what I was eating.”

Y/N grinned, nudging Jungkook with her elbow. “Well, look on the bright side—at least you’re not stuck with this forever. Just until we decide to stop being suspended and go back to work.”

Jungkook laughed softly, a small smile playing on his lips. “Yeah, I guess I can survive a few questionable meals. But next time, maybe I’ll just bring my own food,” he joked, making everyone burst into laughter.

Jennie shook her head, still smiling. “Deal. And Taehyung? Next time, leave the food choices to someone else, okay?”

Taehyung chuckled, throwing a mock salute. “Roger that, boss. Lesson learned: No more mystery meat from the questionable deli!”

They all laughed, enjoying the moment despite the questionable lunch. After the giggles subsided, Y/N turned to Jennie with a playful smile. “So, Jennie, does this mean we can finally call you a lawyer or an advocate? Which is it?”

Jennie straightened up, a proud grin spreading across her face. “You can call me whatever you want—lawyer, advocate, legal eagle. I’ve earned it!”

Taehyung, never one to miss a chance to tease his friend, leaned in with a mischievous glint in his eye. “Legal eagle, huh? More like a paralegal pigeon! Still learning how to fly, but squawking at everyone like you own the place!”

Everyone burst into laughter again, except Jennie, who shot Taehyung a mock glare. “Oh, please! I passed my exams and did my time in court. Unlike some people here, I actually have a real job now!”

Taehyung grinned wider. “Yeah, yeah, Miss 'Lawyer,' but remember when you thought 'habeas corpus' was a new health drink? ‘I’ll take a large habeas corpus with extra kale, please!’”
