Stu's grin widened as he made his way to the closet, a twisted excitement in his eyes. Sidney's heart pounded in her chest, the adrenaline making her body feel both numb and hyper-aware. She knew what was coming, but that didn't make it any easier to watch. Stu yanked open the closet door, the creak of the hinges sounding like a death knell in the otherwise silent room.
Sidney's breath caught in her throat as she saw her father, Neil Prescott, bound and gagged, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. He was barely conscious, his head lolling to one side as Stu roughly pulled him out of the closet and tossed him to the floor.
"Look what we found hiding away!" Stu said with mock surprise, kicking Neil in the side to get his attention. Neil groaned, struggling to focus on the scene around him, but the fear in his eyes was clear. "Daddy dearest, just in time for the grand finale!"
Billy, who had been watching with cold detachment, stepped forward, his gaze shifting from Sidney to her father. "You see, Sid," he began, his tone almost conversational, "we needed a fall guy. Someone to take the blame for all this mess."
Sidney's eyes darted between her father and Billy, the pieces of their twisted plan clicking into place. "No..." she whispered, shaking her head in disbelief. "You can't do this. He had nothing to do with any of this!"
"Exactly," Billy replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "He's the perfect patsy. Who's gonna believe that sweet little Sidney Prescott could be involved in all of this? But your dad? The man who was devastated by your mom's death? Who couldn't handle the pressure anymore? Who decided to go on a little murder spree before taking out his own daughter? It's the perfect story."
Stu, still grinning like a madman, crouched down beside Neil, his face inches from the man's. "You're gonna make headlines, Mr. Prescott," he said, his voice sing-song. "Father loses it, kills everyone, and then—bam!—goes down in a blaze of glory."
Sidney's stomach turned at the sight of Stu's gleeful expression. "You're both insane," she spat, her voice trembling with anger and fear. "You won't get away with this."
Billy's smile faltered slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "Oh, but we will," he said, his voice calm and assured. "We've thought of everything. After we take care of you, we'll rough each other up a bit, make it look like we barely survived. Then we tell the cops that your dad went crazy, killed everyone, and we were lucky to make it out alive."
Stu chimed in, his voice filled with excitement. "And then we disappear! New names, new lives, and no one will ever know the truth."
The room spun around Sidney as the weight of their plan pressed down on her. They had thought of everything—every last detail to ensure their twisted victory. And the worst part? There was nothing she could do to stop it.
Sidney looked down at her father, who was too weak to even lift his head. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks—this was it. The end of the line. She was going to die, and her father was going to take the fall for everything.
