--- Start of Special Chapter ---
Oftentimes, weird things would happen out of the blue. Even if one were to expect 'something' to happen to oneself, that 'something' wouldn't exactly be the same as one's prediction. But that wouldn't be odd, considering how the world always surprised you, in one way or the other.
The underlying reason on why that 'something' happened is also not something one could accurately guess. That was to be expected, since the true culprit of that 'something' was none other than Fate itself. Although...
This wasn't supposed to happen, was it?
With that thought in mind, I sighed and looked upwards to the person standing before me. "I know I'm handsome and all, but is it really to the point you'd look at it for over five whole minutes?"
???: "Huh? Ah! My bad!"
The girl in front of me stepped back a bit and clapped her hands, followed by an act of apology. Seeing that sorry gesture of hers, I sighed again.
Girl: "But... Do you know where I am right now? I don't remember anything aside from suddenly waking up here..."
Worry was etched on her face. It seemed like she's the same as me, then.
"Welcome to the world of mirrors. Here, wherever you see, there will be mirrors."
Girl: "But...there are no mirrors..."
"Then I'm joking and have no clue where the hell we are."
I ignored her reaction and pulled my body up and brushed the dirt off my back, before looking around.
The sight that appeared before me was... strange.
There was a large lake in the distance, accompanied by two enormous mountains standing proud by both of its sides. While what appeared behind the lake was that of a cloud of fog---Or was it more accurate to say that whatever was behind the lake was covered by the wall of fog?
At first glance, nothing was too out of place. But once I focused my eyes on the skies... Somehow, I got the feeling that it was 'limited'? As in, the new world that stood before me now wasn't 'real'.
But enough of that baseless assumption. As for my position itself...
Guuu~
I appeared to be on top of a mountain(?). Not too high up though, maybe a few hundreds meters above sea level.
Guuu~
But that would be considered a hill. Anyway, the main point is, I had to traverse down before being able to enter the forest below.
Guuu~!
I sighed before stopping my steps and glanced back at her, "...What are you doing?"
Girl: "Hm? Staring at you? I mean, I don't know what to do... So, can I follow you?"
She asked with an innocent face.
Hmm...
She seemed to be pretty stupid. Or is that what she wanted me to think of her? Nonetheless, I suppose there's nothing to lose if she were to do as she likes for now.
"I would tie you to a tree and leave you there, but that sounds like a pain. So, do as you please."
Girl: "Yes! Sure!"
And so started a small team filled by me and this naive-looking girl.
[10 Minutes Later]
Girl: "Hah... Hah... Hah...! My legs...! They're dying...!"
