⚠️ Smut alone I think 😭
The rain poured down in sheets outside, the sound a steady rhythm against the windows of Naruto's small apartment. The room was dimly lit by a single lamp, casting a soft glow that barely reached the corners. Naruto sat on the edge of his bed, his body tense, his eyes focused on the figure standing by the window.
Sasuke had come over unexpectedly, soaked to the bone from the sudden downpour. He hadn't said much when Naruto opened the door for him, only that he needed to talk. But now, minutes had passed, and still, no words came. Naruto could see the conflict in Sasuke's eyes, the way his hands clenched and unclenched at his sides. It was rare to see him like this-vulnerable, unsure.
"Sasuke..." Naruto finally broke the silence, his voice soft but filled with concern. "What's going on?"
Sasuke didn't turn to face him. Instead, he continued to stare out the window, his back tense, his shoulders stiff. "I've been thinking," he said quietly, his voice barely audible over the rain. "About everything. About us."
Naruto's heart skipped a beat. "What about us?"
There was a long pause before Sasuke finally turned to face him, his dark eyes intense, filled with a mix of emotions that Naruto couldn't quite read. "I thought leaving the village would help me find peace," he admitted, his voice raw. "But it didn't. No matter where I went or what I did, I couldn't stop thinking about you."
Naruto's breath caught in his throat. He had waited years to hear those words, but now that they were finally here, he didn't know how to respond. "Sasuke..."
"I pushed you away because I thought it was for the best," Sasuke continued, taking a step closer. "But I was wrong. I can't keep running from this. From you."
Naruto stood up, closing the distance between them in a few quick steps. "Then don't," he said softly, his eyes searching Sasuke's face. "Stop running, Sasuke. I'm right here."
Sasuke's hand trembled as he reached out, brushing his fingers against Naruto's cheek. The touch was light, hesitant, as if he were afraid that Naruto might disappear if he wasn't careful. Naruto leaned into the touch, his eyes closing as he savored the warmth of Sasuke's skin against his.
"I've missed you," Naruto whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "More than you'll ever know."
Sasuke's fingers curled around the back of Naruto's neck, pulling him closer until their foreheads were touching. "I've missed you too," he admitted, his voice barely a breath. "So much."
For a moment, they just stood there, holding onto each other as the rain continued to fall outside. Then, slowly, Sasuke leaned in, his lips brushing against Naruto's in a tentative kiss. Naruto's breath hitched, his hands finding their way to Sasuke's waist, pulling him closer. The kiss was soft, almost shy, as if they were both afraid to break the fragile moment.
But then Naruto deepened the kiss, his lips pressing harder against Sasuke's, his hands gripping the fabric of Sasuke's shirt as if he were afraid to let go. Sasuke responded in kind, his fingers tangling in Naruto's hair as he kissed him back with a desperation that spoke of years of longing, of a desire that had been buried for far too long.
They broke apart, both of them breathing heavily, their foreheads still pressed together. Naruto's eyes were wide, his heart pounding in his chest. "Sasuke, I..."
Before he could finish, Sasuke kissed him again, more fiercely this time, his hands roaming over Naruto's back, pulling him closer. Naruto moaned into the kiss, his hands sliding up to Sasuke's shoulders, feeling the hard muscles beneath his fingers. The need between them was palpable, a fire that had been smoldering for years, now finally igniting.
