These Pretty Little Lies

Chapter 1

Screams.... cries of pain.... sobs..... they all echoed around the town. And from where a blonde haired teen stood, scared but not quite scared, in the middle of the crowded street.... it seemed surreal. And panicked people ran past her, away from the fighting. The fighting that had come to her.... and in the end she couldn't move. Somehow... deep down she.... she was connected to these.... titans. Although it all seemed foreign, there was this deep feeling of everything seeming unbearably surreal every time she glanced at one of them.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? RUN!!!" A random man yelled as he ran past. She shrugged numbly, shoving her hood up and blasting her music as she approached the battle before her. She refused to let her fear show, or rather, she had no true fear to show. Yes she knew it wasn't healthy.... she couldn't control it. Obviously she knew it'd hurt her family if they saw her like this, but that wasn't important information.

"BUMBLEBEE!"

The young scout looked towards the voice frantically. They sounded scared. Really scared. Bumblebee failed to notice the impact on course for himself until it was far too late.

"BUMBLEBEE!!!"

The girl looked up when she heard the muted explosion. She blinked, trying to register what was happening. Another feeling of surrealism slapping her in the face.

"SAMMY!" A teenage boy yelled. He ran up to her in a panic.

"Hey Jack, Bee got hurt." She pointed to the downed scout and the frantic medic hovering over him.

"WE NEED TO GO HELP THEM!" Jack cried.

"Jack, we can't just run in there. It's dangerous and we don't know if Bee will even survive." Sammy replied sternly. For being only 17, she knew how to be responsible. Even in the most dire of situations.

"How can you say that?" Jack asked quietly. "I- you say it so.... effortlessly."

Sammy looked away. It was almost as if she was guilty.

"We should leave. Things are getting shitty. Nowhere is safe now." She concluded when the bots got bridged out.

Sammy had managed to steal a glance at Ratchet's face and he looked terrified, shocked, nervous, and weary all at once. That was her sign to get her and the children out. She needed to get them far, far away from Jasper for their own safety. This wasn't just going to be a Decepticon, Autobot conflict for much longer to her dismay.

"Come on Jack, we need to get to Miko and Raf." Sammy muttered, "and Cody."

She turned and grabbed the boys hand, walking off.

The wind whistled over the ocean. It sounded like an eagles cry and yet it also sounded terrifyingly fierce like a lion.

"Hey dad, should we warn the citizens of this storm? It seems bad." Cody mumbled.

"Let's wait just a little longer ok? We have a guest coming and HighTide is watching the sea." Chief reassured.

"Sir, I mean no disrespect but there isn't anyone that I have any knowledge of that is on their way here." Heatwave cut in.

"Let's just say she doesn't visit often. The last time I spoke to her was before you guys arrived and I got roped into this whole thing." Chief Burns said.

"That was awhile ago..." Cody murmured.

"You might remember her Cody." Kade teased, elbowing his youngest brother.

"Kaaaade! I don't know who you're talking about." Cody grumbled. Heatwave chuckled softly, observing the brothers interaction. Deep down he wished he had gotten to experience that with his youngest sister but.... fate had its own twisted ideas about things.
