Megatron paced the hospital room. The comm he had just received was not a pleasant one. Lives were on the line. Not just his, or Optimus's, or Sammy's but his entire race. It had only been four days. Four days.... and the fate of his race depended on himself and Optimus.

But he was still at the hospital, watching over Samantha. Optimus was residing in the little cavern they had found. He knew Starscream was also with him. A comm from five hours earlier proved that.

He picked up his pacing again when he realized he had stopped, a frown etched into his face. Megatron had a feeling he most likely looked like a stressed father. Not that he genuinely cared. If someone had a problem with that they could tell it to his serv- er, hand. Well, the hand that didn't have the possibility to transform into a pistol if he so desired.

He subconsciously tugged at the white t-shirt his holoform wore, his frown somehow deepening even further. Now he wasn't one to judge holoforms. But Starscream's clothing choice genuinely made him rethink life choices about deciding to legally, under human standards, adopt the "boy". Although he preferred his outfit of faded yellow camouflage pants and jacket with a white t-shirt and black military style boots and fingerless gloves. Simple but it helped prove a point to anyone who dare attempt to lay a finger on his adoptive son. Yes, they might have not have had the best relationship but he was attempting to restart it. He still deeply regretted his actions before the necessary peace treaty was formed. He was determined to show the Seeker he truly was sorry about his actions. He refused to be the monster he once was.

So he continued pacing, hoping to forget his thoughts for once.

Sammy blinked her eyes open, unable to actually let out a groan from the fierce throbbing coming from all over her body. It felt like she was being ran over by a multitude of dump trucks. MANY times. She knew she had probably reacted quite harshly when she first awoke but she wasn't exactly sure how long it had been since she was last awake.

She looked around, hoping to spot someone she might recognize. Instead she spotted a man with faded red hair that looked like it was in the middle of graying out on his skull. His piercing red eyes though, that gave away just who it most likely was.

"Megatron?" She asked softly. He whipped in her direction, eyes widening.

"Sammy, you're awake. How do you feel?" He asked, immediately rushing to her side. He grasped the rail of the hospital bed, leaning over it slightly. Concern flooded his crimson eyes and his scarred face. "Are you in any pain? I'm sorry Optimus isn't here. He had other duties to tend to. Most of which was attempting to establish communications with Heatwave and Ratchet. Heatwave due to his connection with you and Ratchet for his medical expertise." Megatron further explained. He tentatively reached towards her, hand hesitating.

"I won't break like glass. I'll be fine. My only question is will Optimus visit any time soon?" She asked, glancing towards the door. Megatron shrugged, finally building up the courage to lay his hand against her cheek.

"He said he would be bringing a few guests. Never told me who. I merely insisted he wait on bringing Starscream into this mess. It is already complicated enough explaining why we keep continuously coming in to see you. I've been told I look like I'm in my mid-thirties yet also in my late 50's." Megatron sighed, removing his hand from Sammy's face. Sammy hummed, wearily glancing at her missing limb.

"I miss my arm." She muttered, moving the limb ever so slightly. Megatron frowned at her words, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Maybe we could attempt to get it back. I don't quite feel like making another one in our situation. It would be too risky." A new voice replied. Megatron and Sammy's heads snapped up, looking at the doorway to the room.
