Alex spent his time as he caught fish by the river. Aesir watched him closely as he came down the hill to speak with him. Alex was coming out of the water with several large fish as he put them onto a log and began to cut them open and clean them. "You waste no time in killing, do you?" Aesir asked as Alex looked at him. His brow always furrowed naturally when looking at anyone. Aesir waited for Alex to speak, but he went back to cleaning his fish.
Aesir walked down further and stood before the log. "I am here to speak to you." Aesir insisted. "What?" Alex mustered out. His tone annoyed with the man. "We have things that need to be discussed in a more appropriate setting." Aesir insisted. Alex stabbed the knife into the log as Aesir's body slightly jerked. Alex kept his eyes down for a moment before he got up and towered over the heavy-set man. "What?" Alex demanded.
Aesir's eyes were wide as he looked up at the man. Unsure if he should move away or not, but he moved back slightly, pulled at his shirt and began to speak proudly. "My daughter Astrid has turned of age." He spoke as Alex looked at him confused. "Why do you care to tell me this?" Alex asked. "Because she has taken an interest in you. I have spoken with her, and I don't think it would be a good idea, but she is enamored with you. The more I thought about it, the more I realized what a grand idea it can be. You would be rich, and you would bring many strong male heirs to our name. How glorious would it be?" Aesir said with a proud smile.
He waited for a response from Alex as he looked deep in thought. "Well spit it out." Aesir stated. "No." Alex spoke as he went to turn around. "What do you mean no? This is a wonderful offer." Aesir insisted as he grabbed Alex's arm. Alex shot around and got into the man's face. "Don't fucking touch me. Don't ever fucking touch me. The men claim women, not the women claiming men. I know how it works. I said no." Alex stated.
Aesir, taken aback by his words. He often thought of Alex and not well learned as others, but he was just quiet. Aesir stepped back as he looked at the angry man before him. "I'll give you some time to think about it. I think it would be in your best interest to take me up on the offer. People are beginning to know about you and Erik. Don't want those rumors to be out do you?" Aesir spoke in a conniving tone. Alex looked at him. He kept quiet as Aesir smiled. "Think about it." Aesir stated as he walked off.
Erik found his way home after a long evening as he walked inside. He was startled to see Alex sitting in the chair by the fire. "What are you doing in here so soon? You usually don't come till later." Erik asked as Alex looked at him. "Astrid is in love with me, and she wants to marry me." Alex stated as Erik looked at him and began to chuckle. Alex looked at him confused. "This is not how I expected you to start speaking. You are funny." Erik laughed.
Alex stood up from the chair and walked over to him. He grabbed his face with his hand. "I'm being serious. I just got offered to be rich and to heir many male children." Alex stated as Erik's smile left. He pulled his face from Alex's hand. "Astrid said this to you?" Erik asked. "Her father." Alex spoke. "What did you say?" Erik asked. "I told him no, but he threated to tell people about us." Alex admitted.
