Chapter 6: Cycle Quintet

 Narrative pov:

The girls were speechless as they look down at the creature. They were confused of what it could be. It wasn't a witch since the one they have defeated. It's right next to it and it wasn't one of Kyubey Species. Kiki was more concerned and worried about its injured eye and picked it up.

"Oh you poor thing, what happened to your eye?" Kiki picked it up out of her pure concern and worry for the thing that just kind of appeared out of nowhere. Mira tried to pick up the grief seed from earlier.

"Hey, you can't just pick up random people out of nowhere. We don't even know what that thing is." Jiko shouted at her with caution. Kiki looked at Jiko with a narrowed eye stare but still was calm. 

"Even though we have no idea what it is, we can't just leave it here hurt. It's eye is bleeding." Kiki said, gently, brushing the sides of the creature trying to comfort it  Kiki, then turned over to Mira, Yuri and Raya, "Look at the little thing. Isn't she adorable?"

Jiko just grunted As Raya Went next to her and put her elbow on her shoulder. "Come on hothead, it's not bad to have another member of the team" Raya said. Once again being her cocky self, Jiko just signed and  the orange girl just blushed and rolled her eyes. She's starting to question what she got herself into.

Yuri looked over at Mira, "So Why do you want me to meet your friends?" Mira did an awkward smile and put one hand on her cheek, scratching it. "Well you seem ...i think ...."Mira started sweating. She didn't have any excuse to why she would want Yuri there.

Mira then slowly sighed, "Listen, I don't see you as a mentor but more as a friend and I think it would just be nice to have another friend. I know you said earlier you would think about it, but you seem like a nice girl at heart despite giving me the cold shoulder earlier." She then looked at her with her eyes doing a begging stare.

Yuri then looked at her once again with a guilty expression, and then taking a deep long sigh, "Listen, I have other stuff to do. I can't hang out w-" before Yuri can continue Kyubey jumped down and interrupted the girls. "You girls actually do have a reason to work together."

Jiko and Raya stopped fighting and teasing each other for a minute looking at Kyubey. Yuri was stunned for a minute. Mira was questioning what he meant, and Kiki was just confused

 "Well, the magical girl population soon will go extinct." Everybody was frozen. There was fear in their eyes. What he had just said startled them all. They didn't even think that was possible. Everyone was in confusion. Fear and multiple thoughts washed through their heads like an ocean.

Jiko immediately stepped up with anger and rage in her voice "what do you mean to go extinct? You constantly make wishes with girls how could they go extinct?" There was clearly rage in her eyes. She wanted an explanation. Kyubey just blinked at her again.

"I think it's simple really more magical girls are getting killed off I would say almost about 20 each day, and  I can only grant wishes to those with magical potential"Kyubey said that with his emotionless face. 

 Jiko was mad and frustrated by what he just shared. Mira felt frozen. Once again Kiki was cuddling the creature she found close to her covering its ears. Raya stood frozen with her eyes shaking. Yuri can't even comprehend what she just heard. She may have been a magical girl for a year, but she didn't even know about this.

Mira could feel shivers go up her spine. What she had just heard  about 20 magical girls getting killed in at least one day and adding that up into a whole month would mean.... Yuri then spoke up."So, you're telling me 600 magical girls get at least killed in one month?"
