Oh, the burning pain
Listening to you harp on 'bout some
New soulmate
"She's so perfect," blah, blah, blah

There were small tingles all over your body, almost like a cold sweat running down your back. The building in front of you was tall, taller than any other normal high school you've ever seen.

You were happy you were here, but not why you were here.

Among all of the cool and interesting ultimates, yours was one of the worst. You were a nice person, so why did the world seem to hate you?

You are 'The Ultimate Heartbreaker', it was simply unfortunate. You never wanted that title, you didn't do it on purpose. Maybe you were a little too nice? Something must be wrong with you to get your whole middle school in love with you.

It was bad. Multiple times a day one of the kids would come up to you, asking you out in various ways. Love letters, bouquets, chocolates, stuffed animals, some even started to stalk you. But that was taken care of.

You kept every gift you received, but that might have made the problem worse. Your room had mounds of plushies, and multiple vases that would get refilled almost every day.

The chocolates were probably the worst of all, it was hard to eat them all. You tried, but the taste would just feel gross after so many. So, you would gift them back to your friends, who were hard to come by at this point.

But anyway, the school in front of you was special. It wasn't any public school where the students were begging for attention. This was Hopes Peak, a school of important people.

There was a cobblestone path that led to the glass entrance doors, both inviting and repulsive. Your heels clicked against the stone, a satisfying noise as you started to walk through the door.

You barely stepped through the door before you started to get dizzy, falling back slightly to try and find something to stabilize you but your vision started to melt. It was terrifying honestly, having no idea what was happening. Your vision then became black, it wasn't as bad as the melting so that was good.

In an instant, you felt like your eyes were now closed, instead of opened and not working. It felt nice, so you stayed with your eyes closed for a little while. Your body felt like it was floating, completely calm until you felt something brushed against your skin.

Snapping up to look at your hand where you felt something graze your skin to see a piece of paper. Looking around it became clear something was going on. You were in a classroom, but it wasn't normal. It had metal plates where a window should have been.

You picked up the paper, well it was more like a pamphlet. Opening it, you could see a weird-looking doodle and some really bad handwriting. Scanning your eyes over it, you ended up needing to squint to read the words.

'Hey there new kid! The next semester is about to start. Starting today, this school will be your entire world.'

Well, that was more than ominous, it was just downright creepy. Looking up at the clock, you could barely read it because of your vision still being blurred. You look around the room, feeling boxed in, and deciding to head back to the main hall.

Walking down the hallways that were just as suffocating as the classroom. It was dark, the only reason you could see where you were going was because of the pink lights over every door that could only travel so far.

You just kept your head down and moved forward, practically wandering around aimlessly in hopes of finding other people. Eventually, you saw a cracked door, the darkness behind it inviting you in. All the other doors you tried on the way here were locked, so this must be where you're supposed to go right?
