A Solace Christmas | Solangelo Fanfiction

Chapter 1

This was the time of year to be full of joy and to spend time together with your loved ones, so it's no surprise that Nico was in Cabin 7 with the three children of Apollo who Nico held dear to his heart. Those three children of Apollo were Kayla, Austin and, of course, Will.

Nico was sitting on the floor with Kayla, she was painting Nico's nails black while Austin was sitting up on his bed, watching Nico and Kayla, and Will was sitting on his own bed, fiddling with his guitar and quietly strumming it.

Austin was speaking about his plan for this Christmas, the rest of them listened quietly.
"Yeah! That's the plan with my family." Austin finished rambling on about his plans.
"That sounds really nice, Austin." Kayla said, smiling at Austin before continuing to paint the last of Nico's nails.

"Mmhm, so what's your plan with your dad, Kayla?" Austin asked, watching how delicate Kayla was with Nico's hands.
"Oh, it'll just be the two of us, we'll probably have a little competition, see who the better archer is." Kayla grinned as she answered Austin's question.

"What about you, Will?" Kayla glanced at Will.
Nico brought his attention to Will now and watched how Will was still paying attention to his guitar and strumming the strings.
"Oh, some of my family will come over too, so that means my younger cousins will pester me, and my aunts and uncles will probably bother me, asking if I have a boyfriend or a girlfriend yet." Will answered.

Will looked away from his guitar and he met Nico's gaze, smiling at him. Nico felt his heart flutter when Will smiled at him.
"What about you, Neeks?" Will asked. "How are you spending Christmas?"
Nico bit his lower lip and he looked back at how Kayla finished painting his nails.
"Oh, uh..." Nico shrugged slightly. "I dunno, I'll probably stay at camp."

"Are you not gonna spend it with like Hazel?" Austin questioned.
"Or your dad and Persephone in the Underworld?" Kayla tilted her head at Nico.
Nico shrugged and shook his head, bringing his nails to his mouth.
"Hazel will be spending it with Frank, I don't want to be a third-wheel." Nico said. "And... Eugh, I just don't feel like seeing my dad or Persephone. I'll let them have some alone time together too."
Nico gently blew on his wet nails, in an attempt to get them to dry quicker.

"Yeah, that's not acceptable. You're spending Christmas with me." Will said, setting his guitar to the side.
"What?" Nico blinked, looking at Will. "W-with your family? Will, are you insane?"
"Uhm, you're insane if you think I'm gonna let you spend Christmas here at camp all by yourself. You're coming to Texas with me and you're going to spend Christmas with me and my family!" Will smiled at Nico.

"Will, it's seriously fine-" Nico began.
"No, nuh-uh, not fine at all. I'll get in contact with my mom and let her know you'll be coming with me. She wouldn't want you to spend Christmas alone. I mean, if Austin or Kayla didn't have any plans, they would automatically be invited over!" Will exclaimed. "Nico, you are a dear friend and I am not letting you spend this time of year all alone. I will drag you to Texas if I have to."

Nico stared at Will before he looked at Austin and Kayla.
"... Don't fight him." Kayla said.
"Seriously, once Will has his mind set on something, he will do it." Austin added, nodding.

Nico sighed and he looked at Will.
"Fine. I guess I'll spend Christmas with the Solace family." Nico said.
Will smiled.
"Cool! I'll let my mom know as soon as possible!" Will exclaimed.

"Now, how about we play some sort of game? Especially since it seems Austin will have to leave in a few days, we need to spend as much as we can together!"

Nico felt the anxiety already start to build up in his stomach as he thought about how he was going to spend Christmas with Will and his family.

Yeah, this was going to be fun...

A/N: I'm very excited about this fanfic, I think I got this idea last year for Christmas but I didn't have the time or motivation to write this up. It's just a fun, silly little fanfic with Solangelo!

To be honest, I would say that once we get into the more Christmas themed chapters, it'll be like mini little oneshots with a bit of plot.

But I bet you'll be glad to know that this fanfic won't have any angst shbdhbd
