It was nearly two during midnight. The sounds of Cameron sipping on coffee and the way the tires rolled over the pavement, it had Shawn in silence and thoughts.

He wondered a few things...

He wondered about Cameron.

Does he have a family to run to? Why is he talking some guy all the way across America? Who does he share his life with? Is he just some guy trying to make money by driving a taxi. Can he have a more miserable life, unless he already has a terrible life...

Shawn sat up from his crowded fetal position in the back, "Hey Dallas?" Cameron hummed. "Yes, sir?" Shawn played with his thumbs wondering if this was appropriate, "Do you maybe need help driving?" A chuckle came from his lips, "This is my job. Now you don't worry... I will take care."

That was it. Shawn asked what he needed to and let it be. Nothing more to talk about.

He wondered if it was the right decision. Is it right to move along like this. Go to Christmas with some taxi driver. How would he explain this to his family. What if they ask about Taylor. Through small talk on the phone, that man was his life, his only happiness. Now he wonders if his love was distributed to the right person. Taylor didn't even call.

"You okay Shawn?" Cameron asked. One thing Shawn thought about again... he noticed that Cameron only called him Shawn when it came to personal things. Like they were friends. When it came to things like his comfort in the back or stop requests, he was referred to as sir. Shawn is not trying to get close anymore, what he sees between him and Cameron is strictly business.

"I just was wondering.. you were crying. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet." Cameron was awkward around Shawn but he didn't get it and let it be. "I'm good. Thanks." Shawn was not aware of his tears. Probably too numb and in pain to notice how he felt physically because of all these mental, internal actions.

Shawn started to sit properly, notice, he always laid down but for some reason, Cameron always looked at the mirror and could sense Shawn was never okay, anyways, Shawn wanted to step up. "Okay Cameron, tomorrow we've got a long day. You're taking me to the mall. I've got things to buy. I have a suitcase but it's nothing I want since my plans are completely changed." Shawn was spoiled and got everything he wanted while Cameron just thought awkwardly because he would love to have anything that Shawn would give.

Cameron nodded in approval and drove, hoping to stay awake. The two just awkwardly sat. It wasn't comfortable, Shawn knew he needed company but at the same time.. it was only right to keep it business. Just business.

Well fuck it. "How's your life?" Shawn asked. Cameron sighed, always hoping to dodge questions like that from passengers. "Really... Lets see. This is my living. New York cab driver. Nothing much. It's a shame. I know."

It made Shawn sigh.. Shawn had everything yet he didn't see it now that someone is struggling more than he was. "Sorry."

"Why are you sorry?"

"I complain to myself when in reality, some people have it worse. Thanks for driving me but I'm going to cry myself to sleep now. Good night, Dallas." It was completely accurate of Shawn, he's just some guy that gets bought with love. Taylor was always busy, Shawn nearly had it all. Had everything besides a well structured relationship.

Cameron smiled a little, unsure of reason.

"Call me Cam."
